Is it possible to create an index of threads by author?

I guess this is the right forum to ask my question because it concerns the technical functioning.

Wouldn't it be possible to add in the "users statistics" the list of all the threads created by a member? With links, it would be really ideal, but even without links it would be convenient.
Or by adding in the search tool a heading: "threads created by...", and it would be enough to type the name of the author to get the list.

When I discover a news or a picture in a post, sometimes old, I sometimes want to know more about it but if the poster didn't have the reflex to put the link in his signature I don't know how to access what he published.

I think this would be a really useful feature.
I have the feeling that there must be a possibility to create in a general and automatic way a link between the title of a thread, its address and its author, since these three informations are already existing in the pages that list the posts.
But I don't know much about computers so I don't know if it would be very difficult to set up this generalized link or not.

If I understood you correct the advanced search can do what you want.

To think that I spent more than a year wondering about this when the method was right at my fingertips!
I think at first I didn't understand the point of the checkboxes because I didn't speak English at all and even those little headings were a mystery to me. And then I didn't think to look at them again.

I think many people do not know the power of the advanced search.

I try to keep in mind your idea of having a link to that in the user statistics. Right now I do not have time for something like this. But maybe at a later time.
