Thankful For Our Dolls

Post by DG »

For those of us in the US, the Thanksgiving holiday is almost upon us. I know that I, personally, am thankful for my dolls. I would like to hear from you about how you are thankful for your doll, and please, if you would like to share Thanksgiving themed photos with me that I can use in my article, you will be given full credit and totally appreciated!

I will begin writing on Monday of next week.

Thanks!
I love and have loved many dolls.

Well, I’m thankful for both my Tifa and Yuna. I grew up (like many others here) with Final Fantasy 7 in the 90s. And, Tifa was always a crush. When they released the remake on the PS4 not too long ago, that rekindled that “attraction.” So, it was a no brainer when I started hearing about a 1/1 Tifa. A couple Google searches later and mulling it over for a few days, I was just like, yup, let’s do this. Yuna was even more easier because of her eyes. Though, Aerith’s purchase is still planned (spring maybe), So, for me, I’m thankful I have a fairly good representation of a loved video game character. Plus, I can dress her up for different, sexier looks. Both Tifa and Yuna have been in my wallet frequently for new clothes and shoes. I enjoy changing their looks. Sometimes, it’s quite shocking, in a good way, on how something so simple can add to their looks. (The giant pink butterfly hair clip on the back of Tifa’s hair for instance or Yuna’s ridiculous sexy clog shoes.)

I had hoped this thread would have a plethora of responses, with us all telling tales of how grateful we are for our dolls and to be spending Thanksgiving with them. So, I'm going to keep this thread open until Wednesday, before I begin writing my article.

Please contribute and share! I love reading all the wonderful things about our dolls, plus sharing mine.
I love and have loved many dolls.

Hello DG

I don’t know that I can limit my response to a Thanksgiving Theme as we are grateful for our girls year-round.

We bought our first doll in June of 2020. Our only thought at the time was that she would be fun to have. It was 2020 and the pandemic was upon us. We were not going anywhere so home entertainment was an incentive.

What we didn’t know was … well, everything!

Dolls have come to mean so much to us. We are surrounded by them daily. They have personalities. Likes and dislikes. Almost like “real people”. :haha4:

Dolls are a creative outlet for us thru photography and storytelling. This has presented us with other opportunities as well.

It is because of dolls we have met so many good people we would not have met any other way. We don’t have a lot of family but now we have a family both here at home and on the forum.

Hey DG!!

I am super grateful to my Girls for their companionship, their hugs and kisses, and them giving me themselves to protect and provide for. Their projects inspire me to keep moving forward and give my life a positive direction like nothing else has since my wife passed in 2018.

I don't have any Thanksgiving themed photos of them right now.................they are exhausted from their Halloween adventure....................but I will have a few photos of Leanne coming up shortly..............she is going to a Christmas party on December 3rd.........................we will send them to you if it's not too late for your article.

Thank you so much, jantra. This is absolutely beautiful! I will need to have my article submitted by the end of this week, so that it can / will hopefully go live by Thanksgiving. If anyone just wants to send a regular photo of their dolls to me by Thursday, that would be awesome and definitely appreciated.
I love and have loved many dolls.

Hi DG,

My thankfulness for Zev...

It has been nearly two years since Zev entered into my life and I am thankful for her positive
influence in my everyday existence. She is now a part of my daily routine and I am thankful for having her
presence in my home.

Because she continues to be my only doll, I get to focus all my energy and attention on her needs and care.
I feel good that I have the physical ability and can still take care of her, and I am grateful for that.

I am thankful that I have been able to explore many creative themes with her in our many fun photo shoots and
activities. I enjoy putting together the specific outfits, background and poses that allows me to explore some
artistry of my nature. She has given me that, and it gives me a nice purpose to be thankful for.

In addition to our photo themes, I enjoy our many trips outdoors to fun places that enhance our experience together.
While places like this can be fun alone, I am thankful that she is with me to enjoy these things with one another.

I enjoy riding her around in my Vette, because her presence as a passenger is comforting and she makes cruising around a lot more fun... :)
I have always wanted a beautiful lady sitting next to me and she fulfills that dream...and for that I am thankful.

Some of our photo shoots outdoors have been very challenging, but also very rewarding. One of the hardest was our river
rafting adventure where we traveled thru beautiful sets of flower lilies on the water and I got to video the whole excursion.
At the end of the day, even though this was very hard, I get to look at her, remember, and smile...and for that I am thankful.... :)

And yes of course, the obvious....as a single heterosexual male, I am "very thankful" for her super bodacious beautiful sexy body....

I like to use the term "Doll Joy" when I am looking at our thread sometimes, because it is that Joy that she brings and will hopefully continue for a long while...
...and for that I am thankful.

I am working on some Thanksgiving theme photos that I should probably have for this thread next week...if you like too.

Simply put, I'm thankful for my dolls for being my constant muse, my escape from the world in trying times and for the sense of purpose they give me in my declining years.

Thankful? Nah, I worked my ass off to get her here so I’d like to thank myself.. she’ll be aight.. jk.. yea, thanks aerith for entering my life, you’re truly special despite your unspoken words. You’ll never say “I love you”, nor hug me but I know if you could, you would..but one thing’s for sure, you never left me.. whenever I need you, you are always there and that’s more than I can ever ask for. So,here’s to our good days, with hopefully many more to follow.. *knocks on wood*

Hmm I would not be "Alone" if I did not have my girls as I have family but my girls
have filled the space of a real woman and without them all these years would have been
no where near as great as it has been with them :)..
Lots of fun for many reasons .
Sitting and watching a movie..
Cuddling..
Doing fun photo shoots with .
Just having them here with me it has become something I would have never thought it could have become.
I love my girls very much

And like the Leatherman said the doll community is often pretty amazing and I have met some really great people
here on the forum
