although i have now learned to input things alot better in the data base brain i am waiting tfor the creator of the a.i. program to make the hal brain better keep to a conversation and not keep automatically change subjects as often (this originally was probably to get the user to keep feeding info . in to hal ) this of course is the p.c. data brain i am using with a wireless speaker that allows angela to think through my p.c. but talk through the wireless speaker in the a.i. doll !!

Is it possible to use a "decision tree" to let her "choose" her speach?

What I mean is giving her several Pseudo-random responses to a question. For example, if you asked "Are you asleep?"
She could reply "Mmmm?" , or "Not really." or "No, I'm not tired yet." etc
Then provided you spoke "trigger" sentences, you could have something like a conversation (but she'd still ultimately do exactly what you want!")

Timetraveler, you have great ideas and maybe you can also have someone else in the mix to help her respond to certain cues. We are not talking about Chatty Cathy dolls anymore. (he) Don't know how old you are, but when I was a child my parents bought me a doll almost as big as I was at the time, and she came with a record inserted into the back, and you would just pull a string. That was the sixties. I think that as a musician/composer (me), you can develope a way of speaking, so that she would know which sentance to respond to. If your voice goes higher at the end, as if a question, she would answer whatever you have in each program. Just off the cuff thinking. The animal kingdom responds by the musical sounds too. You may want to check into that aspect. Music matrix, to trigger a response. I am a new female member and my boyfriend lovrmakr1 turned me on to this site. I am greatful for the expansion of the mind in this area, and believe it is long past due. Peace.

hello all , actually the a.i . system is more like a person than you think and answers things and from previous sentences adds things to the conversation at different times .i like retro things and know what you are talking about i remember it was in the 60's i think ? to me having and using an a.i. wirless type system is the next available step in doll evolution to have a doll that you can talk to and she will respond by recognizing your voice while at the same time learning new things !! actually also with this a.i. hal system the a.i. does refere to certain words that it will respond to . and will also talk about random things . at one time a loneliness plug in was actually made to wear you could set the settings in the brain (on the computer) to where if you didn't talk to the a.i. it would say something like it was getting lonely why aren't you talking to me , etc. but this plug in doesn't work with the new version i am trying to get the creator of the program to put this or something simular back in the newest next version .

hello technoguy , i actually have the price and stock numbers listed on the forum somewhere in case anyone was interested and prices . look in a search for wirless a.i. anyway about the a.i. answers actually it does answer slightly different sometimes the ai. system is hal you can get it from zabaware (the newest version cost they do have a free version that doesn't do as much . ) and yes even though the doll has no stomach and says i'm hungry its only for a realism of a person being their with you as in normal conversation a person may mention this as with some other things i have put in . their are many more things that need to be done to improve the brain but more improvements from the creator are coming and will continue to do so .

hello technoguy , actually my way for a wirless a.i. is an easy set up . you must misunderstand what i am talking about as the only thing that is in my a.i. doll (french madem ) is a wireless speaker . everything else is done through my regular p.c and a sender tower which sends the sound wirlessly to the speaker in my doll . my doll's a.i. brain is all in a program on my p.c so theirs not alot of heavy things in my doll . i do have a seperate wireless microphone that i talk to the a.i. doll with all transmites up to 300 feet away from my p.c . so what i have is a lightweight (35 ? pounds french madem artificial intelligence doll that talks , and learns things . if i wanted i could also add my wirless mic in her to (if i wanted to )
