I recognize some of them whose threads I follow on TDF, and I'm happy to discover the others.

I actually did not know about this Doll Meet? until today.
How come a thing like this is not announced in GOOD time, so that more people will actually be aware of it?

Zlamvam - this meet was organised on and by the UK forum, it is not a TDF event. Some of us are on both forums and will post our pics here, although it could be a while before I process all of mine.
