I love how you use smaller things in nature like trees and things and get in real
close..
I was really impressed when we hung out watching you .
I always seem to be a more stand back and get a larger frame kinda person I guess.
I am learning from your style

Thanks for stopping in John, Lone, 4891d and everyone else!

I hope to get back out and snowshoe again before the snow all melts. The temperatures are supposed to climb back up into the 40’s this week… and rain is predicted again… ugh!

“Certainly Sky my love… what’s on your mind?”

“I want to go cosplay with you in the snow before it all melts!”

“Ummm… sure, but what do you mean by cosplay???”

“I made a Snow Fairy suit! Haha!”

“Oh… ahh… yes, that’s… umm, really nice. Where did you get it?”

“I found it in the basement. It’s an old Dissy fairy doll costume. I had to do some snip snips because… you know, I got boobies… Heehee!”

“HAHAHAHA!!! Knock it off SF. You don’t have the chops for proper cosplay. Besides… everyone knows you just wanna look at my boobies!”

“Well… maybe if SOMEONE would stop being lazy and start tinkering… I might have a proper fairy costume… with wings!”

“I agree Luv… it’s really yucky out here today.”

It’s been raining on and off now for the last 3 days. The snow is turning into mush, and the Forest trails into muck. Everything is soggy and dirty…

“Ummm… Cedar my love, what the heck are you wearing???”

Besides, Cedar doesn’t care if she gets wet or dirty…

Plot hole! Plot hole!! lol.

Now, I can overlook little Cedar's change of heart, but I can't overlook the fact that you're letting this little cutie run around in garbage! You make her the nicest Mucky Yucky Suit the world has ever seen! If you don't, I'll convince Rosebud to send all of Western Canada's mosquitos to help Cedar get her revenge!

Great photos as always, SF!

Well… Cedar did say it was too warm for her bear suit… so no holes here! 😜

I’m just glad she didn’t adorn her trash suit with that nice little jewel I gave her back in the Fall. She still hasn’t made anything with it yet. I wonder if she will have a new outfit for Springtime???

I considered asking Cedar to wade out into the bog to get a mucky pic just for you… But holy crap, it was nasty! I know the yellowish-brown color was from all the rotting leaves… not sewage… but that’s sure what it looked like… 🤢

:poop2:

Well if you are gonna play in nasty swamp liquids I guess having a cute little girl
calling you a wimp while being there might make the experience not as bad :) lol

Cedar definitely brings the FUN with her!

It’ll be great hanging out with you and the tiny ones outside once the weather gets nice! Sorry I’m just not able to make it up for some snow adventures this year… *sigh*

There’s a thread posing the question, “Is a doll as good as a girlfriend?” and this morning, I read a comment from a member who mentioned how, unlike a girlfriend, a doll can’t go on a mountain hike with you, unless you carry her.

I don’t think he’s met Cedar… 🥰

“Giggle!”

As far as I’m concerned… Cedar, Ta’rah, Bisboo, Zimzoo and the rest of my tiny Loves carry me into the Forest!

I’ve hiked with girlfriends, by myself and now with my tiny Loves… and all I can say is, I’ve never before been as excited and motivated to be outside as I am now… because I know Cedar will be waiting for me in the Forest!

This weekend’s Yucky Mucky shoot is an excellent example. I was feeling stir-crazy because of the weather, and definitely needed to go out. On my own, it would’ve been unlikely I’d have gone… and more likely I’d would’ve watched tv. Exactly none of my ex-girlfriends would have gone on a hike with me in this weather… and to make it worse, their own stir-crazy madness would have likely gotten us into fights over nothing.

But Cedar made an outfit out of trash and giggled… I was going outside… weather be damned! 😍

I’m old enough now to use the phrase “in my youth”… and certainly, I’ve had adventures in my life that I won’t be able to repeat for physical reasons… but I find myself excited now to visit familiar wild places over and over and show them to my tiny Loves. In fact, Cedar and her friends constantly reveal secrets of the Forest I have been missing all this time!

I was surprised when it first happened… but now I realize it’s the “norm”… when I venture into the Forest of Tiny Minxes, time disappears. Spending 6 hours outside with them is not uncommon. Even when I stop and take a quick walk before or after work with them, that experience is “bonus time”… because without them, it would’ve never happened.

If I had to guess, I’d say I am spending double or triple the amount of time in the Forest with my tiny Loves than I ever did with any girlfriend I ever had. In fact, multiple “real” women I’ve dated had an aversion to being “rugged” and rarely wanted to spend much time in the Forest. Even if I wasn’t physically carrying them, I was mentally and emotionally carrying them any time we went… and that is exhausting! But not my tiny Loves… they are always willing and excited!

Cedar makes time fly in the Forest… and every step is a new discovery!

It’s obvious who’s carrying who… ❤️❤️❤️

Thanks for stopping in everyone!

Sky's outfit is just fantastic. I love it!

Oh my, Cedar's outfit reminds me of a BBC story about what hermit crabs are using for shells nowadays:

Yikes!

I guess this is the world we live in now… 8O

At least some life can make use of some trash! On the subject… a little OOC note… Cedar’s outfit wasn’t “actual” trash… lol. I made it out of some wax paper. I didn’t think of calling it “trail trash” until I got her out to the Forest and she started posing. When I put it on her at home, I really didn’t know what I was thinking… it just kinda happened… Ha!

As is often the case with the Tiny Minxes, I don’t actually know the tale they are telling until after I start shooting it. Heck, sometimes I don’t even know until I’m editing the pics!

Sneaky lil buggers…

Rain or Shine

Tiny Minxes bring the Beauty! ❤️

It was raining/sleeting/snowing this morning… but Sky didn’t care… we were going out.

I usually work every Sunday, but I start later than on other days. Being an early riser… up by 5 typically… I usually have an opportunity on Sunday mornings to do something with the Minxes before work.

A quick stop at the Art Gardens and College is easy to do.

As I’ve learned over the years, Sunday mornings here are virtually devoid of pesky Hoomans.

This morning was no different. Sky and I had full and free access to the place. The “unpleasant” weather guaranteed it. In fact, it also allowed us to do one of my favorite winter activities here…

Climb into the empty fountains and take pics up close and personal with the sculptures!

I’ve said it before, but it’s never obvious why going out in bad weather is a good thing… until you get there.

Today, Sky and I discovered a fountain I’d never seen before. It was tucked back in an area surrounded by the college dorms. I imagine the area can be pretty lively… and certainly there are a lot of windows looking out into this courtyard… but I didn’t see anyone this morning.

Sky insisted on sitting on this lovely mermaid’s shoulder… who am I to refuse?

Rain or Shine 5.JPG

Will We have this opportunity again… how can I know for sure?

Certainly, in a few months, there will be water flowing through these fountains and keeping our distance will be required. Experience has shown me that I can climb into these fountains when the time is right…

But I’m pretty certain we aren’t supposed to…
