Been a lurker for a while, but since the deed is done and I've actually bought one I'll try to participate a bit more. Lots of good info here, and a great overall atmosphere.

This is going to be great for you; from everything I have been reading here the doll owners experience is transcendent and full of joy.
The community is very positive and supportive for us noobs. This helps, for myself, to dissipate anxiety and "shame" for choosing happiness and following my heart.
I look forward to your progress and hope to learn more from your experience for my first purchase, and forward from there.
Would you let us know more about your doll pick? Manufacturer, body, head, features and add-ons?
I have read several member introductions - a lil' backstory leading up to the decision to become an owner - and I decided to make my own. It was really relieving for me to get off my chest. Even though I don't yet own a doll, I feel more confidence about my choice from making my introduction.

See, I wish I had lurked here for awhile before engaging. Early on, even though I read the forum rules I didn't really have a good feel for the culture here and I got sucked into some controversial topics, my views pissed off a few people, and I stepped on a fair number of virtual Lego blocks. I got better, though.

Thanks for all the welcomes! Some info, although I have a separate post where I go into detail on my entire experience.
Bought the WM233 head with the 164cm J, didnt change much from the photos as I found it pretty as is. Was called "Evengaline" on lovedolls. https://lovedolls.com/products/evangeli ... 2249003203 I got an extra head as well from WM- 266. And since there is so much custimazation on lovedolls I chose some different textures for the insides. Evo , shrugging skeleton and standing feet just for ease of use. i dont have too much space so having it stand when needed seems handy. Also bought a storage box so I can slide it under the bed when I have guests
