To start off with. I was a Newbie...big time. Never even heard of these before. So I started reading and researching big time. I was so ignorant to everything. But for one...it did not take long for me to pick my doll... because 6Ye Premium is the only manufacture who makes a true muscular doll from neck to legs she's got the goods. She has triceps definition, veins in her bicep and arms and forearms; also in her calf muscles and thighs. They are so realistic.... (turns me on thinking about it)
Okay, back to the doll. The second thing was WHO TO ORDER FROM? I found out that there are a lot of fakes out there. So i was very worried about getting a poor quality doll or a fake. So I researched, asked questions, read this forum until I found out enough to make my decision. I will say...some sights, fake or not, have so many contradictions, it raised red flags for me. Some did not know the stuff. But then I decided to trust the 6Y3 Global sight and their list of legit resellers. And I ran across a name in that research I had seen on this forum JEFF and Booty Call Dolls. I read some reviews about how they did not have a picture based website to click and pick etc... But that he was very good to work with and would be there for you all through the process....personally. BOY was that true. And btw, I have no ties to 6Ye or Jeff or BCD... I am just a Newbie who was blessed to get in contact with the right people on my very first purchase. But this was after weeks of reading and researching and to be honest...down right paranoid. Jeff even called me (after asking permission both times) to reassure me and answer some questions I had. He does everything through Email. But you can get very specific to what you want and need and he is very honest with you. If they have it, Jeff can help you.
I finally had enough info and peace of mind to pull the trigger. I picked the heads and wigs and eye color i wanted etc... Standing feet. And even though 6Ye Premium is supposed to come with an advanced "second generation" skeleton...YOU STILL HAVE TO SPECIFY THAT YOU WANT THE SHRUGGING SHOULDER UPGRADE. That was one of those inconsistencies that I found on other sights. But we found out that you still have to request it. Some sights charge you $100 to $180 plus for this "upgrade". Jeff did not. Plus i got a soft removeable tongue for both heads and a sample piece of TPE for testing the clothing (to make sure it does not stain.).
After placing my order, it took about a month before I received confirmation that her "flight plan" was in place. Then about 12 days latter I received a tracking number. Then about 5 days she was at customs. Then about 5 days after that she had cleared customs and was on her way. Then it only took a week for her to get to me. the whole process took about 2 months after I ordered.
UPS brought her 2 days earlier than tracking said. The box was hug and heavy, but I personally could drag it (slide it) through the house with little problems. I began to unbox and get things into place to explore. I had already researching about general care and the initial deep cleaning that must be done the first 2 days... again, thanks to Jeff. I had my supplies. It took me about 3 days to get it all done. (Yes, I had bought all of my supplies before she arrived and my first outfit which I had soaked in cold water for 2 weeks off and on to get all excess dye out)... Washing her and oiling her (massaging her) was actually fun. The powdering was/is my least favorite. But even though 6Ye does not need as much powder as some dolls (apparently from what I've read) because mine was not really that sticky, even after washing her 5 or 6 times.
I got her with tan skin and this is 6Ye head #N27 blond wig. Everything was in good shape
She had very tight joints, so it is taking me some time to learn how to pose her and dress her. But I am getting the hang of it. It is definitely a workout. But fun. Just be very carful. Her skin is sensitive but not too sensitive. Her flesh is fragile, but not too fragile. So be careful. So far so good. No tears, but I was worried that she would tear just from her own weight when I tried to move her and stand her. But everything has held up well so far. it has only been 4 days, but this is what I've gotten so far. I will post more pics soon.
