Hi all! Earlier this year, I was inspired to get back into the doll game. After a year of pandemic, and semi-quarantine, I found myself re-examining what I was needing for companionship. While I've owned dolls in the past, I wasn't completely satisfied with them. (I own two Teddy Babes. One "deluxe" and one "Classic". Pretty, but tough to have sex with without the right inserts.) I realized that the industry has probably improved and diversified in the ten years since I got my gals. I came to the conclusion that if I was going to get a new doll, I should get one that I found visually appealing, and represented a sexual partner that only a doll could provide.

I should also add that in the three years leading up to the pandemic, I was quite active in spending time and money seeing local escorts. I've satisfied a lot of my curiosity about having sexual experiences with women of various ages, ethnicities, and body types. So, while I've met enough women to know that I have a "type" and what she looks like, I found myself wanting something different if I'm going to invest in a doll. If I'm going to have someone build me a dream partner, why not go nuts and get an Elf, or an Orion from Star Trek, or an Asari from Mass Effect?

So I did some shopping and research. Getting her made in silicone or TPE would cost more than I could afford, and weigh more than I wanted to carry. The next option was fabric. The people at Teddy Babes were clear that the customization options I was looking for were something they were unable to do. Valentina Girls could handle extras like horns and a tail, but had faces and body types I found wildly unappealing. I could try to DIY the project, but I have NO skills with a sewing needle. Fortunately, Yuri at Textile Dolls had my problems covered. Well, the big one. He wasn't willing to add horns and a tail, but he was confident he could make the body color happen. The rest, with a little shopping for Halloween costumes on Amazon, was solved. He and I discussed sizes, shapes, colors and pricing, and we quickly were able to work out a deal. I sent him pictures, he tolerated my questions, and eventually a doll was made!

I'm seriously impressed with how well she turned out. (Assuming she looks as good in person as her photos suggest.) Yuri is a genius and an artist of the highest quality. I'm surprised his work isn't more popular here, as his dolls seem to be a great balance of weight, cost, and looks. She's due to arrive at my place in a week or two. I will keep everyone updated as that happens, if you are curious.

I am DEFINITELY looking forward to finding out how she looks and feels in person.

That's excellent news, Gaijin; it's great that at least one doll creator can get reasonably close to an exotic "special order".

I too am surprised that fabric love dolls aren't attracting the interest like they used to (at least going by the apparent level of interest here at TDF).

After many days of refreshing my tracking number, and wondering how long an average shipping transit of the Atlantic takes, my gal arrived today!

Overall, I'm satisfied with how she looks and feels. She's exactly how I ordered her, and I look forward to getting to know her.
