Repairing a small missing segment

Post by Obin »

Seeing this tweet, I wondered whether such a repair had ever been effected. He's asking for suggestions.

Yeah it is still holding up some slight tearing but the paste really works better in non stressed places. Lately I coat the final repair (once dry) in a coat or two of pure primer to lock it in place but stressed points rapidly melt if I try this. Should be easy enough on a butt cheek though!

Wheezer did comment that the thicker the paste with the 3M products, the less aggressive it is with stressed areas making it ideal to fill difficult to get at places without stretching it a bit :)
