I'm just a dude wondering how to dress up a chick...
My name is Rob, and as of two days ago the waiting has officially begun.
I'm living in a city under curfew... Might as well make the most of it and figure out how to dress a chick for the first time!
It's off to Amazon I go, but.... sizes.... I'm drawing blanks.
Starting with bra size of course. Left to my own devices I'll be making Bezos' head spin with all the Amazon returns.
The doll I'm awaiting is 145-D, so this is where I humbly ask for your sizing guidance...
Sizes for under-garments, skirts, shoe size for 20cm? No clue...
Any threads in existence that already offer up this nitty gritty?
Thanks Gentlemen!

Then when you have your measurements, you can google a women's size chart and go from there.

I dress Eve in womens size xs panties. Dresses and such are womens size s or xs.
Sometimes something is still too loose and needs to be modded. Knowing how to sew can be helpful.
I don't do online shopping really. Once you see your doll in person, it will make it easier to buy clothes for her, at least on stores where you can see what your buying before you buy it.
I have never had to shop for her in the kids section.
Feel free to pm me if you have more questions.

Workers are too busy to have time to analyze a customer's reason for buying stuff. All workers want to do is for you to just pay for whatever you're buying and get out of their way. To them, each customer is just another stranger they'll never remember a day later because they have hundreds more after you to deal with. Besides, it's none of their business and they certainly have no reason to make it their business to know why you're buying stuff. They're used to seeing women buying briefs or stuff for their family members, same with seeing men buying panties and bras for their lovers or children.doll_obsession wrote:This is something I'm going to get into soon as well. Re: I'm just a dude wondering how to dress up a chick...
The short answer, your doll will like to wear whatever pleases you. Size wise, I like to wait until the doll arrives and take my own measurements. Bit of variance sometimes. Then, compare those measurements to the manufacturer's size charts for the clothes I'm considering. Bit of trial an error involved, as doll figures seldom match that of real women, but it'll get you in the ballpark. Avoid dark colors and overly tight things. Have fun!
Re: I'm just a dude wondering how to dress up a chick...
The Sanhui 145 has a small rib cage. This will make a lot of the bras have loose fitting bands.
She will fit a 28D or 28C bra. But the cup material needs to be stretchy or at least un-padded. The doll boobs will not form to the bra cups like a real woman. Those foam bra cups that are pre formed to a nice shape do not work on most dolls.
Keep in mind when ordering clothes for your doll. That clothing manufactures do not work to any strict standards. So a small from one brand may be dramatically larger than a small from another brand. This applies to bras too. A 28 inch band from one brand will fit perfectly, and another brand will be much longer and be loose. It is a bit of a lottery.
The Sanhui 145 is at the very small end of woman's clothing sizes. Size XS is the most likely to fit. But the only problem is the XS women's clothes is difficult to find. So you need to venture into kids size 8-10. That applies to shirts, shorts, skirts and panties. It makes things difficult, I know. Sometimes kids 8-10 is labeled as Medium. Kids size large is equal to woman's XS most of the time.
