How to remove clothes stain on kimber doll ?

Post by nakalol87 »

Hi there, i bought a Faux leather dress for the doll but it leaves a massive stain all over it.

What is the best way to remove the stain ? I live in Australia and my option is pretty limited however i did search on google, forum to forum on how to remove stain. Here is what i have found so far:

1. Arm & Hammer, Advance White, Extreme Whitening Toothpaste ( Toothpaste with baking soda and peroxide )
2. Mineral oil, http://www.kleanstrip.com/product/odorl ... rs-solvent
I dont think i can find this in Australia though, would this product works https://www.eckersleys.com.au/art-spect ... s-solvents
3.Benzoil Peroxide, Neutrogena Rapid Clear ?

I cant find out what kind of material is Kimber Doll, so if anyone could let me know which one would works best that would be great. Thank You

Hi And Welcome to TDF, get in touch with Fletcher at Kimber doll, I recently had a similar discussion with him and sent hima swag of info on this based on Kimbers material.

Generally, the tpe stain remover paste indigo sells will be effective. A lot of good real info here viewtopic.php?p=1460296#p1460296

I have struck through the options I would not recommend for entrained stains. Peroxide based pastes will only work on light surface stains, and if entrenched can actually spread the stain further, so it will lighten it but make the stain area larger

For other maint tips there is the care guide https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0025/ ... 87.pdf?232

but it does not address stain removal so I will have to have a chat with Fletcher about updating it once addition stain removal procedures have been tested and confirmed as effective and non damaging.

Some Australian Suppliers

If you go for Indigo's super duper product, read the instructions here http://dollbase.org/sites/default/files ... 019-02.pdf

I still like my Arm and Hammer Peroxicare Toothpaste it's not the fastest but it's convenient (since I use the toothpaste) and I can leave it on as long as I want without any worries.

Kimbers are not pure TPE Dollar...I personally would not recommend anything like that on her without some serious testing first. They have a unique blend (which actually does make them pretty stain resistant I've found).

WHAT?? TPE with a secret ingredient? That's good to know... The Peroxicare works both on my TPE and Platinum Silicone girls without any issues. So I wonder what they are using besides the TPE.

I actually do have a stain on mine now (my own fault...left her in something tight for a week or so)....so I will be testing the benzyl peroxide over the next few days and will report back. neither stain is terribly bad though and they are already fading of their own accord.

Hi guys,

We're still working on our own stain remover but these kinds of products are very difficult to ship around the world.

We generally recommend patch testing any cleaning products on one of your Kimber's toes so that if the solution you're trying has an adverse reaction, it's only in an unnoticeable area.

Cheers,
Fletcher

This is great news Fletcher.
My Kimberdoll Jessica had a stain accident with some black lingerie from eBay. I’ve ordered some TPE remover from ‘sexdollaustralia’ for now which I really hope will work but of course I would rather use your official product once it’s available.
