Thanks very much for the info.MannequinFan wrote:If you are just needing bolts, you might find some at the big box stores but limited number of lengths available.
Online places like McMaster Carr have full selection. You'll want the M16 x 2.0 thread...

Just for a question, what was the angle you used for the offset on the stand?
Thanks!

Re: Head Stand for WM Doll Heads
One thing I've always found missing with head stands is the ability to tilt the head back for doing extensive work on makeup. I find trying to do detailed work with the head vertical is awkward.
I've been working on a simple 3d printed base that will allow the standard M16 bolt to be tilted back using a ball joint design... The 7" x 9" oval wood base is the same item that I used in my first design at the beginning of this thread. You can get these pretty cheap at Hobby Lobby: https://www.hobbylobby.com/Crafts-Hobbi ... 22/p/28485
Rubber feet pads: https://www.lowes.com/pd/Scotch-Scotch- ... 1002690308
(To check for balance I was trying out different positions for the base thus the reason for all the holes) The printed base consists of 4 parts being the main flange, a two piece ball that fits on the bolt head, and a socket cup part that puts pressure on the ball.
The bolt is M16 x 2.0 (coarse thread) x 60mm long... The socket cup part protrudes 1mm below the flange so that when the flange is tightened down the ball joint also gets tightened... So what do you think?
If you have a 3d printer and you'd like to try this, the 3d print files (stl) are now included in the head stand download package on my blog...
