My condolences to you and your family Jim.
I've never met Don, but I have one of his creations gracing my living room. I bought her previously owned, and I will treasure her forever.

Wow, what a shame. Sorry for the late reply, but I've been busy working nights all week.

My condolences, Brash. Your dad has quite a legacy. I remember the illustrations in the older Easy Riders, and when I found out it was him who made the Rubys I was double wow. Quite a legacy.

OMG. I knew when I read the title of this thread it would be bad news. I never got to meet Don, but always wanted to. This is a big loss to everyone.

I'd like to add my condolences to Don's family.

Through his creativity he helped so many.
Some found a new way to love
Some found a bunch of new friends
Some just found themselves

Peace be with you Brash
It only hurts because we loved them
Take care

Eyespyone and Cindy

Thank you all so much for your kind words. It's been a tough few weeks and to hear how much Don touched your lives is amazing and comforting. As soon as we decide on a date we'll let you know where we are holding a memorial for him. I'm going to start another thread as to where Ruby will go from here. Thank you again for your words of love.

cheers

Hi Jim,

I had the great pleasure of speaking with your dad on a few occasions and always enjoyed the great stories and passion that he shared. Such a kind and gentle soul who will be greatly missed!!

Please take comfort in the fact that he is no longer in any pain or discomfort and one day you will be reunited with him again.

Please also let us know about the future of Ruby13 and which direction the company will now take when you can.

Don's life work will continue to live on in his beautiful creations and this great man will never be forgotten!

Robert

Thank you all for your kind words. I knew he had spoken with many fun and interesting people because he often talked about it. I was so glad when he finally embraced the internet because I told him he'd meet lots of new friends this way after he moved back to California from Maui. I am going to make a new post separately that will address where I am going to take the company from here. A few additions but still the same quality and team minus our fearless leader.

cheers

jim
