Nice. My first wash was definitely more awe and trepidation than connection, thus the difference from then to now. I haven't had any stability problems with Ruby during washes, but I tend to give her a pretty good lean angle with a memory foam pad between her and the wall. The nonslip mat handles the leaning forces easily. Most of my comments to myself and her happened during the powdering, as I was re-introduced to exactly how her freshly-powdered skin felt.Vampire_Jesus wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 10:19 am It really is a fun ritual! Though, I remember being smitten with Tifa and forming a connection even on her arrival- there was less small remarks and commentary during my first wash simply because I was too taken examining all of the finer details. Nowadays, when I wash her those remarks are usually something along the lines of "*huff* Ok... you stay put, *huff* don't even think about fallin- DAMMIT WOMAN!" I clearly have more to fine tune with my cleaning setup, she tends to want to try her hand at stealthing her way to the floor in painful ways. Maybe I should tell her that insurance fraud doesn't quite work that way, as much as she wants me to retire so I can spend the extra time with her...
Ah, let me clarify on that one. I'm pretty good at not getting powder everywhere when applying it. The messiness happens to me afterwards. And to her clothing to some extent. Small, small price to pay for the way she feels powdered though. On messiness with powdering, I have actually found I leave very little if any discernable starch after powdering using the powder puff on her body. I just dump that little bit onto the paper plate and usually start the initial pats higher up on her and work the residuals downward toward the feet or hands. Those first couple pats are the messiest with the fresh powder on the puff
Same here! After reading your experience I got all set up with glue and everything! No idea why her nails have been spared so far. It certainly isn't my expert handling. Now this blew me away, that you haven't had a nail jump ship yet. Kudos to both you and Zelex for a fine job!
I suspect they came from my less-than-graceful moves of her while my muscles were in bad shape. I don't recall any on first wash, or after her fall.I'm glad it seems nothing has come loose yet and all of her fingers are in tact, this is great! Were those dings a result of falling, shipping or moving her around? Hope she remains OK
I'll see what I can do. Just got back from getting my vax updates, so I want to take advantage of my current good shape in case soreness kicks in later or tomorrow.I feel like a broken record... but Ruby in black bodysuit I must see!
Yeah, so it goes. I suppose in the grand scheme it's actually my second clothing misstep, after the over-the-head bra earlier. Both examples of my not being trained to look for the right things when ordering clothing for Ruby yet. Fortunately, everything I have coming from Killstar has some stretch to it.Sad about the skirt, that's always the risk with non-stretchy clothing. Even if you can get it past the mighty hips of most of these dolls, it will look a little loose at the waist. I suppose I am fortunate in that most of the clothing I really want to get I think should be mostly stretchy, save for some tight jeans. It's mostly the hips that are the issue with non-stretch clothing, unless you had a very voluptuous doll. I'm also going to sound like a more broken record when I say, coincidentally, after my last shoot with Tifa concluded I got her in a new bodysuit of her own... I swear we aren't connected by a hive mind. I think. Though, I'm 100% sure it isn't the same bodysuit at least.
