I will like to see what the new boytoy bodies are that they replace the ones they are discontinuing with. It should be interesting. I like more realistic dolls, but I can't see the reason to buy a boytoy really when for the most part they are the same price as a Real Doll 2, they are basically the same weight as the 5'1" real doll 2, so not much incentive to buy a boy toy over a real doll 2 if weight is a concern, I am seeking out a doll, I was going to go with a cheaper type doll, but now I have decided and have researched and it seems you get what you pay for when it comes to dolls, for the most part, and I find there are relatively few companies that make a high end doll, and Real Doll is one of the few, Boy Toy is very nice, but by the time I add everything I want on it, I can get a Real Doll 2 for the same price lol
I don't get it. As some of you already pointed out if they're phasing out the cartoon-ish style for more realistic faces then why have teh Boy Toy line at all? I think if they just update the body/skeleton to whatever they're doing for the newer dolls they can still keep the faces.
Oh well...
Plus I can kind of see why. This Hybrid Quinn doll has a very similar face.

And if they are going in the bit more realistic direction it makes sense. Especially since on their site they say the Hybrids combine various doll models apparently on order. So you can mish-mash a Real Doll of on a Boy Toy body or whatever you wish all things considered. The Quin head to me is an example of that where if a Cadence looking face already exists which has newer built-in features why keep the other?
