As far as I can see, DH168 is neither listed in the Doll Matrix as a brand, nor as a manufacturer, nor as a vendor.Mike0122 wrote:[…] I was trying to find this doll on the Doll Matrix. […]

Ok this did not explain anything to me.Dollstudio wrote:Hi,
@haremlover: Wesly replied to this question with the following comment:
Please note that discussions about hinges in doll's hands regularily end up in misunderstandings as the term hinge joints is used in anatomy differently. There is currently no commercial doll I know of that uses hinge joints for the interphalangeal articulations of the hand in the anatomical sense.Yes, Wrist is indeed can twist, but it's not fixed, usually when I take pictures for this doll, first twist the wrist then bend the elbow,so use the friction resistance of TPE, keeping palms facing up.

What I want to know is does the doll have a hinge, with 2 pieces of metal and a pin, going from the arm to a plate inside the hand, Like DS and pretty much every silicone doll does it.
Or does it use wires from the arm, going through the hand to produce a wire 'wrist' like WM?
Re: New dolls by Doll House 168: Kaede, Roi and Yui - 161 cm
As an owner of a WM I don't think you really need WM level of softness. Its nice at times but its pretty damn squishy.Asterix wrote:Dollstudio wrote:Hi,
regarding the questions: Yes, the heads should mechanically fit on a WM/YL/OR body, but the neck connector is not identical (the nut is fixed in neck; with WM, their nut, screws and head are separate). But the skin tones are different.
Regarding bulging eyes: "Wesly has used hand to poke doll's oral, the eyes not bulging out much as WM's doll, because new doll have more thicker material behind the eyes."
The DH168 TPE dolls are not as soft as current TPE blend from WM/YL/OR because it uses less softeners. The breasts are alternatively available with hollow breast design or solid.
And btw, Happy New Year!

Very sorry to hear that the doll is firmer than WM, that will not close the deal for me.
Softness is very imporatant for me.
This doll has one of the nicest breats shapes and vaginal design I have seen on a doll.

Wesly's comment didn't explain a lot to me, either, but on the other hand, I don't understand the fetishism with "hinges" neither. Also I severely doubt that "pretty much every silicone doll" has hinges in the wrists or ankles. I have asked many times about detailed photos and never got a precise response except vague claims.DarkOne wrote:Ok this did not explain anything to me.

Even Jinsan appears to make claims to use hinges in the wrists, or makes customers believe that there are hinges, or even shipped sometimes skeletons with hinges.

Trying to clarify what we are talking about: http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.ph ... 73#p889573
I believe, the movement we are talking about is generated in fibula and talus (for the foot) respectively ulna and radius (for the hand). A simple two-axis hinge can hardly mimic this movement properly (imho), that's why I'm not conviced that a hinge is the only valid design for wrists and ankles.

Hinge, ball joint, multi-link suspension, I don't really care what they use so long as its not wire that snaps with normal everyday use.Dollstudio wrote:Wesly's comment didn't explain a lot to me, either, but on the other hand, I don't understand the fetishism with "hinges" neither. I don't need anatomically correct. What I need is a doll that does not act like it has broken wrists after normal everyday use.
http://dollforum.com/forum/download/fil ... &mode=view <- is a fine wrist design IMO. One axis is more then enough.
My issue is that with no abuse, a hinge, ball joint or other 'metal on metal' style of joint will last a very long time, It might loosen some but unless you put a lot of force on it, it will always be OK and keep the hand in a believable position.
A wire based hinge will snap with no abuse at all and you would be lucky to be able to change its position 100 times before it does snap. Once it snaps the hand flops around like a dead person.
Sadly the skeletons pictured in the video you linked don't have the wrist/hand installed yet.

Re: New dolls by Doll House 168: Kaede, Roi and Yui - 161 cm
That's good, so we are (almost) on the same page here Except that I want an - as close as possible - anatomically correct range of movement in the ideal doll, they can use whatever works. I don't know how the DH168 wrists are constructed, but they do provide what you are asking for. They are robust, have a great range of movement and don't break, even in photographical (= more stressful) use. Opposed to the skeletons mostly used by a certain other manufacturer.DarkOne wrote:Hinge, ball joint, multi-link suspension, I don't really care what they use so long as its not wire that snaps with normal everyday use. Regarding the current DH168 foot design, they still use a gooseneck. IMHO, this should be changed to a solid plate, which would enable other possibilities like standing as well.
I tend to disagree. This is a doll I dismantled because certain parts of the skeleton broke. Twice, actually. Maybe I make a more detailed post about this sometime. It was an very expensive experience for us (the vendor).DarkOne wrote:[…] is a fine wrist design IMO. One axis is more then enough.
Maybe I'm a bit paranoid, but I believe there is a reason that almost no manufacturer shows detailed pictures of the parts in question. That leaves us with to forensic methods: X-ray, and cutting the doll open. I don't have access to X-ray equipment, which only leaves me the destructive method of wasting a $2,000 doll just to check how the skeleton actually looks. I am not sure yet if it's worth that…DarkOne wrote:Sadly the skeletons pictured in the video you linked don't have the wrist/hand installed yet.
In the meantime I made a quick video to demonstrate how the wrists move: http://en.dollstudio.org/node/1663.

It is very difficult to judge the softness by a video.Obin wrote:Excellent video. I don't see a reason to make those any softer.

You have to feel
I prefer softer girls , it is very important that the vagina is soft for realism.

I have spent the last two days doing some search. I know you don't sell the exact same hair wig. But I really liked the look of Kaede in the first picture.

I think it is a "bob" hair style.
Also "swept bangs" or "side bangs" may be a descriptive that helps.
I'm figuring it out, too.
That 161cm is crazy. So is the Dollhouse 168's 150cm "Lillian" in Blonde wig. Worth google searching.
Body is nuts, face is beautiful. The photo shoot of that "lillian" version is amazing.
