Too bad to hear that it still shows up from time to time.
Currently I am not experiencing any delays either.
Stiletto: is the problem still around for you, or is this a transient problem that only happens at times?

Can you tell us which browser you are using?
Does the problem go away if you deactivate JavaScript?
(The forum software still does work without JavaScript, but for example editing posts is somewhat cumbersome, so I do not ask you to deactivate JavaScript permanently, but just give it a try to see if it makes any difference and then switch it back on again.)

Request: www.dollforum.com:35555/online.js
Request: www.dollforum.com:35555/roomonlineusers.js
I had that port blocked. I don't allow arbitrary traffic through my firewall, I only open up specific ports. When I opened that port the delays went away.
I'm sure there's a reason those two scripts have to come from a non-standard port.

Re: What's with the 12 second delay on every page?
- an other Browser (IE instead of firefox 23.0.1)
- deaktivate Firewall for a short time
- Port 35555 opened
- JS deaktivated
- Open Window unblocked
Nothing helped. I could not stay in the forum if this problem exists:(
Can anyone help me?

I don't know what's the cause. I don't have this problem. I'm running FF 23.0.1 on Win8.
The original problem was reported last March. This was not a port problem, there was a problem with the chatroom: it didn't respond to show the usage. Right now this is OK.
If someone else has a long delay on every page, just let us know.

Re: What's with the 12 second delay on every page?
- when I intentionally block port 35555 in my firewall, I can reproduce the problem that the "page loading" symbol is shown while it tries to get beyond chat display in the footer. That is a bit annoying, but the rest of the site works.
(One can clearly see the page stops loading there by scrolling to the bottom of the page: the "Users browsing this forum: " is visible, but the next line "Chatting users: ..." is not)
- when I disable JavaScript, this problem just goes away, port blocked or not.
- when writing a post, the "chat" status is not shown, and no such problems occur in any case; page loads completely without problems.
Usually around this time the weekly full backup of the database is running and this makes the server a bit slow at times. If this is the case, it should go away soon.

In the first testing with deaktiv JS, the problem could not be solved. But now it will works correctly.
I think many peoples have the same problem.
To regisyter an post the messages I need more then 1 hour. Many people want not to do so.
Could you deaktivate the chat or repair it or someelse?

Re: What's with the 12 second delay on every page?
I have to ask the server admin if he can do something about the chat; if this is not a configuration option but hard wired in the chat software, modifying the program code might be possible but futile, as this kind of modifications tend to get "repaired" with the next software update.

Ps. I have 4 second delay.
