I happy to announce that Ishtaria has agreed to return as administrator of the Doll Forum after some pleading from me because I can't run this thing alone and the support from many of the members who want Ishtaria to continue doing the work that has made the Doll Forum grow into a doll support site known around the world.
I can't begin to tell you the work required to finance, maintain, and protect the site from hackers plus some order has to be maintained on the forum or we totally get off the task of providing information about dolls.
We have a forum management group composed of administrators, moderators, and helpers who will jointly decide on rule enforcement and other actions to keep the forum running smoothly. Ishtaria will not have to act alone and will not be the fall guy for actions taken to administer the forum.
Lets get back to enjoying the exchange of information about dolls.

Thank you Bill, and Thank you Tina ! This news is a big sigh of relief to me, as I am sure it is with others.
Bill has a point, the rest of us moderators admin & such should share the responsibiliy of rule enforcement so Ish does not come out as the bad guy.

I think that Bill found the best solution.Tina stays as an administrator, and decisions regarding rule enforcment will be taken from a group of people,so no one will blame Ish personally again, and the decisions will have a solid value, since they will be from the mouth of the whole management group.

Hi, All!

Sorry for my belatedness in contributing to this _very_ important thread (and _man_ is it a relief to see that Ishtaria isn't gone, cause - that would suck a lot)

I agree that, whenever possible, voting by as many members of the forum management team is a fabulous idea, but I know that there'll be times when more rapid action is needed to stem some outbreak or other.

When that happens, I have faith that Ishtaria can moderate fairly and decisively, because I've never seen her do it any other way.

The thing is, she shouldn't have to. On the Doll Forum's entry page, we all clicked on "18 or Over" to get in here. Ish isn't our mommie, and she's got her own sets of R/L problems to occupy her mind. Like the rest of us, I'm sure she comes here for some genial company and discussion of items and ideas that you can't talk to just everybody about. If someone posts something incindiary, other folks' natural reaction is to get heated - and in both cases, let's just try to take a step away from the keyboard for a moment and consider what we might say differently if we were looking into that other person's eyes.

My tuppence. YMMV.

In this forum are sure much more people who like and respect you Ishtaria, as person and your work done for us, than a few trouble makers.
But the mayority is calm and not making so much noise.Ishtaria you are the heart of this forum and so this forum is somehow alive with you.I dont know a lifeform without a heart (even cells have somethink like a heart), so I can t see a dollforum without Ishtaria.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and support. :)

I've decided to lay low for a week or two which is why I haven't been posting.

Thanks again :D

Thank You Ish!

There are not many (myself especialy) who could fill your shoes.

You do far more for us than we do for you.

Thank You for staying.

Tina, I'd give you a hug, but you're in another state. ;)

Thanx for all the work you've done in the past, and for staying on into the future!

I've been watching this thread go on and on day after day after...
... and wondering when the heck it will ever end.
Meanwhile, I've been refraining from doing what I do not like to do, which is add another lame post that says nothing else except what amounts to: "Me, too!"

Eh-Hem.

Me, too!

Ish! Maybe you could host a couple months out of the year, (After a vacation) , sharing the duties with a consortium. You are great! Dolls are the future and this forum is at the crux!
