Subscribe to the posts of another user

I would like to subscribe to users (actually manufacturer accounts) that often posts interesting stuff. Is that possible?

Yes. There is a button with a wrench just under the thread title. Then just click “subscribe topic”.

Or, if you want to see all the posts of a member in all the threads, you can click on his name and in the window that will open, click "search user's posts".
You will have them all, starting from the most recent.

Thanks, but it is not quite what I am after. I was hoping that there was a function that would give me notifications every time a specific user posts anything in any forum. Is it the friend function that does this?

Sadly there is no option to subscribe to a member. Only to threads and forums.

Please don't have much hopes. If the original forum software does not provide a feature an extension is required. Extensions might break after an update and therefore have to be chosen with care. I'm not aware of an extension to subscribe to a member.

If you add a member to your friends list, aren't their posts then highlighted? If so, might be a viable work-a-round.
