I wanted to take a moment to add my own experience with Jeff at BCD. I reached out to him as a brand new buyer with a doll in mind but a bunch of questions and uncertainty. Jeff deftly guided me through asking and answering the right questions, made sure that I'd decided on every detail, then expedited the ordering process. He set my expectations for manufacturing and shipping time from the start, though I was lucky and ended up handily beating the estimates.
The BCD website is definitely not the slickest around, but that isn't where the value lies. If you're looking for a doll from a manufacturer that BCD sells I recommend dropping Jeff an email to chat about it. He's got first claim on my business for any future doll. (I would have said that wasn't likely any time in the near future, but the Zelex SLEs do look really good...)
