Easy Adjustable Doll Head Stand

I’ve been using a simple doll head stand that might be useful to other owners. The original source was many years ago on TDF, so it seems appropriate to bring it back. It is a Panvise Model300 vice on their model 312 base. All you need is the vice and some threaded rod to make a decent and stable head holder.

The base lets you adjust and rotate your head easily to multiple positions and firmly hold it there.

This works very well for applying makeup, face painting, adding eyelashes, etc. You can move the head about without actually touching it, quite handy if stuff is drying.
An added bonus is that you can remove the threaded rod use it as a vice when you are not working on doll heads.

This is great, this head stand can adjust the angle of the head, which is especially convenient for putting makeup on the doll!

This was one from my shop, so it looks a bit rough due to a hard life.
A new one obviously would look much nicer.

The wide and heavy base gives stability no matter how you position the head, plus the little compartments are useful for detailing or repair parts.
You can even use it if you head has a permanently attached M16 thread or quick connector.

Just screw on a female threaded coupling nut to the threaded rod and attach the head to that.
