I've used Sculpey clay softner on some of my vinyl ladies and they did soften their vinyl quite a bit. I coated the vinyl in a very thin layer of softner and left it on for maybe 2 or 3 days before it got completely absorbed.

A word of warning using clay softner though... it will weaken the seams that are exposed to the softener and may cause them to come apart so becareful around the seams.

Hey all,
The little bottle of softener arrived the toy in question has a pretty bad ,TPE BURN ,(TPE plus dolls skin = crispy plastic ,) so I've open a small cap between the layer of the and tunnel of fun (no air leaks as yet ) and squirted in about a 1/4 of a bottle on each side now I wait for a few days ,

8) Howdy

Sorry to hear - "RS"

Sadly once the TPE material breaks down - its usually game over

I found that extreme High temperature is no friend of TPE - unless you run the A/C all the time - whereas a more temperate climate extends TPE life :|

I do use the little powder bottles on the TPE parts after washing and this does stave off some negative effects - but doesn't eliminate the degradation of TPE

Much like the dolls on the Blade Runner Movie - they all have a time limit - and they will expire eventually 0X
