Greetings from Northern Germany
My name is Steff and so far I have only been on German forums. It's certainly not wrong to look around a bit more internationally, so an English-language forum is certainly the best choice, especially as I speak the language quite well (also due to my job).
As I have seen, there is also a board where I can describe how it led me to love dolls.
I will probably post my story there.
The first doll came to me at the beginning of 2021. Jessy. In the meantime there are 10, whereby one was actually scrap, which I rebuilt and restored.
I also have a website https://jessydoll.de where all my dolls are presented. At the moment I am thinking about how I can switch the language on the website.
So much about me for now. I hope that I can make my contribution to enrich the community and share my passion with you.
Many love greetings

Beyond Range, nice nickname.
Is that something like: "≈Außerhalb Bereich" ??
In eng/usa slang, you can expect maybe to someone
make shorts of your nickname, and write only initials: "B.R" or BR!
Yeap..Beyond Range wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 8:06 am

Re: Greetings from Northern Germany
At the moment, everything is still a bit confusing for me here. So I have to learn navigating through the boards...
My Nickname - well,The Doll Man wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 8:46 am Beyond Range, nice nickname.

this arose from the feelings I had for Jessy at the time, which have been confirmed and manifested to this day.
They were feelings that were outside the linguistic space available to me.
Beyond the reach.
In German: "Jenseits der Reichweite." = Beyond Range.
That is the deeper meaning behind this name.
Of course, you can make an abbreviation like BR out of it. No problem.
Thank you very much. The Website is still growing and only been online since November 2022.
My intention is to channel the information spread all over the internet. It is so difficult for beginners to find important information because it is all over the net or in forums.
And my goal is to make owning and using love dolls something nice and normal, not something perverted or sick. That people explore their feelings and whether such a doll is right for them.
It is very important to me that love dolls are something wonderful and not something dirty or disreputable that has to be hidden or kept secret.
Sorry that the site is only in German for now, but my head is full of overwhelming ideas coming into me, so I need to write them down quickly before they disappear.
I will gladly introduce them here, but I have read that I am not allowed to post pictures until I have been here for a while. So we still have a little patience.gogodolls wrote: ↑Sun Apr 09, 2023 8:47 amWelcome to the TDF Steff! I've been looking at your site... and there are some very nice ladies there! Indeed - I have learned to fix my girls myself.
Because it's not easy to get help.
I can't do everything on my own, but there are some people around us who are really good at what they do. For example, making new joints.
My Jessy, for example, has two new knee joints.
And "Rosie" was just scrap and was supposed to be recycled. My wife, however, said that it would hurt her and that it would be unfortunate if I shredded her. So I decided to repair her and today I love her very much.
Every day I worked on her, my empathy for her grew.
Hey Jo
Without your advice, I would not have known about this forum. Thank you very much. Now I am forced to write in English, which should only benefit me and my job.
@All
Here is a huge Story behind me how it comes to dolls. But this I have to translate.
If it is ok, I gonna using DEEPL translator to do.

PS:
In English, I still have a little trouble with upper and lower case, please forgive me. :

Hello Steff, welcome to TDF.
I had a look at your site and after reading two sections I am sure I will come back.
Luckily, there was a French version (because the last time I spoke German was almost 40 years ago, with a pretty Austrian tourist, an excellent memory but a bit dated ).
See you soon

The texts could easily be translated with a translator, but it's different with the picture stories and the speech bubbles. I would have to translate all the texts into the pictures. Until now, I hadn't considered making it multilingual.

Re: Greetings from Northern Germany
Yes - how do I get 10 dolls in two years?
It's not explained in just a few words. But it is worth a try.
Jessy was the first, my wife and I chose her together. Then there was something wrong with her, so in a roundabout way there was Nathalie.
But since Nathalie also gets fissures after a few months, Mariko came as a full-service replacement.
Then Yolo came as a gift for spelling corrections of a website of a doll dealer. And Helen, too.
Jamila is a normal purchase, as is Zoé, who is a gift to my wife. She loves Yolo and Zoé.
Then came Rosie as scrap, who was supposed to be ripped for gaining parts but my wife vetoed it and then I couldn't bring myself to do it.
Then Alina as Present for Website Works....
Finally I ordered Mascha, with a damn good offer with 1500.-€ off so I didn't have to save up for this very expensive doll for quite so long.
In one go there were 10. Full House.
There are:
3x Irontech TPE
1x Irontech Silikon
1x WM TPE
1x SE TPE
2x Sanhui Silikon
1x XCcolo Silikon
1x Unknown (Rosie)
