New member buying doll with wife

My situation is probably a little weird - or maybe not, everyone here has a unique situation I guess.

Anyway, I first noticed dolls a while back, but didn’t give them much thought. Recently I happened across a vid on a porn site with a doll and it was *gorgeous*

My wife is from a fairly conservative Asian country (I lived there for 5 years so I’m familiar with the culture) so I don’t generally watch porn with her or anything like that. I once mentioned that I’d be fine if she wanted a toy to try out and she got embarrassed and turned red. I think I brought it up one other time and was shot down, but the 2nd time I sensed she DID want to try it. She just didn’t want to admit it.

Anyway, I thought the doll thing was hot and fun, and she happened to come over to talk to me right after, so I showed her. At first she was confused because she didn’t know it was a doll, but then she said “it looks real. It’s kinda hot.”

I was sorta shocked and said, “I’m gonna get one.” That seemed to give her an opening and she said, “yes, I wanna see that. Can she wear a dick? What do I get out of it?”

I talked to her about it later to double check and she’s on board. She’s a little shy/embarrassed about it, but I have the green light.

I messed up a little by showing her my first choice - Funreal Qian 5’2. It looks quite a bit like my wife, only, you know, without any human imperfections. She wasn’t too keen - “you wish I looked like that?”

I really don’t. She’s perfect how she is - the doll is just a fantasy thing and obviously I have a certain “type,” so my choices are similar. I dropped it immediately because I don’t want to piss her off and also because Qian is like 3 grand. I’m not sure how this is gonna go, so I’m going to aim a little lower. I’m looking at Lushdoll, Irontech and WH. I’ll let my wife help choose, but I’ll go for something that doesn’t resemble her at all. I might have a type, but I appreciate all kinds of women.

I’m not sure if my wife will remain into it once it arrives. Hell, I’m not even sure I’ll be into it, but I’m eager to give it a whirl. We’re moving in a month or so, so I’m going to wait until that’s all settled and give her time to think about it, but I’m REALLY excited!

My wife and I bought a doll together two years ago. We had a lot of the normal worries: would it be weird or mean we're weirdos, would she get jealous, would it open a pandoras box in some way we could never go back.

Nope. None of that. We just have a fun toy that we play with. It adds some fantasy to the bed room sometimes, but not always. We feel like we have a naughty secret other people don't know about. My wife enjoys buying her clothes and dressing her up, or taking photos.

The important thing is to involve your wife in the decision making process and you'll both be fine. My wife pressed the Purchase button because I was afraid to lol. Good luck and have fun!

It looks like things are looking good.

If you're thinking of sharing the doll with your wife, get a rather lightweight model.
Discussing the technical aspects with your wife (weight, size, material, implanted hair or wigs...) will probably involve her in the choice without embarrassing her with overtly sexual discussions. By showing her pictures as examples of these topics, you will also see which dolls she likes and which ones she has reservations about.

Getting her involved in the technical aspects is a great idea. Then she’ll be thinking of it more like a project than “omg we’re huge perverts.”

It will be a while before we actually order, so hopefully her mind won’t change by then - I don’t think it will, but I’ve been wrong before.

my wife and I started with 1 female tpe and now we have a male silicone and tpe ss well as female toe and silicone. my advice is this: stick with one brand ( we are partial to irontech) after that decide on a body type and size. then choose the head. go with silicone head no matter tpe or silicone body, it looks so much better. I always let my wife take the lead in choosing cause it was a turn on for me to know what turned her on to watch me with. it's been very fun and I really recomend it.
