Actually, that was what I meant, I should have been more clear. The excitement began after ordering him. The agony of the impatience of waiting, I mean. Oh, yes, Z - the waiting has been unbearable for me. It's nice to know we've had the same experience with making the emotional connection with our dolls. Like you, I was over the moon with happiness when I was finally able to order him. Now I'm watching my emails like a hawk, waiting for that tracking information. Haha.

So, this past Saturday, I had my husband bring in Orion, the last male RealDoll that I need to work on. He got him all set up on the cot and I slowly began making new repairs as well as redoing some of the original repairs on his feet. I don't think I was able to make it look any better than his previous owner. Once I had cleaned out the adhesive and saw how jagged the tears were, I could see why it looked a little rough. But I have been working to clean up the repairs, once made, so that is progress.
Good thing about these repairs is that I can do them sitting down, rolling to different areas in my office chair and I don't have to lift.
To hold the sealed tears together, I inserted sewing pins and wrapped the areas in film cling wrap. I think that helped a little.
Still no luck on the shipping box challenge. RealDoll could send me one for $700, and I need two, so that would be $1400 and I don't have that kind of money.
Uhaul's largest box, which is a wardrobe box, may work, but I have to wait until I get my car out of the shop to even get them home.
I don't have any funds just laying around to invest more than I already have into these projects/dolls, and that is a bit frustrating.
But I will tell you this, the experience itself and the learning and knowledge gained from this experience has been highly valuable. I felt like I have learned quite a bit and I am pleased with that.

So, both male RealDolls are at least wearing pants and are back in the garage. Orion got a nice full body powdering and is super soft again, which is nice.

Thank ya’ll. Yeah, I am done with the repairs. I have done as much as I possibly could. It is good the injuries were not in typically highly visible areas.
Yeah, no luck in a box. So whomever I sell them to gotta be able and willing to pick them up from me. I cannot afford $1400 for two crates.

So, it's been a while since I updated here.
I sold the RF male (previously unidentified TPE doll) first, followed by both IronTech males and one male RealDoll (Marcellus). Orion went back to my friend and I kept Colt. Colt is still here, he is just hanging out in the garage / man cave now.
