I myself use these:
https://paraboxshop.jp/index_ja_jpy_214.html
It's a shop in Japan, but I see that the actual product shows "Made in Taiwan". So far, I'm using size L for the main body and size M for hands and feet. I just ordered size S to make hand and feet slimmer than now.

It's called "Toy Skeleton" in Japanese. By Googling "Teddy Bear skeleton", I found similar products here also:

https://www.mohairbearmakingsupplies.co ... c-armature

https://crscrafts.com/bear-supplies/fas ... re-bs.html

Maybe you can further search by "plastic armature" or something.

Anyway, this product is for creating poseable teddy bears (stuffed animal).

After fitting with my plush doll, I plan to make adjustments. With body around, the skeleton may get more stability. Or, with the weight of the body, it may require more stability. I have a Valentina Girls Travel Version (no pre-stuffing) as well as a 3D-tailormade silk whole-body zentai to arrive soon. I will stuff them with this skeleton and cotton puff.

Anyway, the beauty of this skeleton is that it's so easy to adjust. I can make it longer or shorter. I can make it double-spined or even triple-spined, etc. The concept and the system are simple therefore flexible and sturdy. Designing the skeleton model is so much fun. I'm thinking how to do the head... Maybe a circle-shaped skull...

Oh, I've seen these before! Aren't the joints from the parabox toy skeleton collection? I briefly debated using these as well, but I wasn't sure how well they held weight. Have you put anything on this skeleton, yet? I'd love to hear how well it holds poses once it has things atop it
