As others have commented above, I dislike the term "sex doll" as it reinforces the perception that the doll only has one purpose. Probably the biggest gulf in understanding among the wider public is that the dolls are mainly or only for sex, whereas for most of us there is an emotional connection to our companions which can be very deep. "Love doll" is, if anything even worse as it just sounds like a euphemism for the other thing. To me, they're just doll girls and doll guys - no need to overthink it.

Pretty much anyone who knows me knows my girls are here. All of 'em have names...Nagisa (Na-chan) Rinko (Rinrin) Chidori (Chi-chan, or sometimes O-tan), even my littlest one has a name, Kiku (Kiki-chan, or Goofus).
