Question about new 6YE cleaning and oiling

Post by DaX2037 »

I'm a guy that when he gets a new doll, he likes to give her a good cleaning and oiling to get rid of that "fresh from the factory" smell and feel. Skipping along to the point, I use J&J cocoa butter mineral oil and I want to ask if any 6YE doll owners with the new blend or someone who is apart of the vendor or manufacturer that has dealt with them can tell me it it will be fine or not. Fortunately, the "new doll" smell was not strong like with my previous ladies, but the "after feel" kinda bothers me to where I NEED to wash my hands.

Please educate me, 6YE experts!!

I'm no expert, but my 6YE (half a year old) doesn't need oiling (yet?).

I have a new ish 6ye, and the marketing says they dont need oil or powder, I washed the doll day 1 with soap, and got some weird skin stuff (surface only).

i did eventually oil it, and it felt great after... BUT it felt pretty good before, so if i had to do it again, i might not have done so much oiling and washing, i think it hurt more than helped.

but a good good good rinse for sure!

interested to hear about how your dolls skin is .... (week 2)
