The silicone under the feet slowly tears up by the weight of the doll. It's the same for all brands that offer this option, whatever they may claim.

Personally I would only recommend the hard feet option if you're really into feet and are not planning on storing her standing up. Maybe for photography, but you can easily edit them out in Photoshop or whatever.
