Silicone + TPE = ?

I read that TPE and silicone are incompatible.

If I have two dolls, one TPE and one silicone, what kind of damage can I expect if they come in contact ?

Will they both be damaged ? How quickly ? Is simple contact enough or does it also require applying pressure ?

I have had experience where TPE simply melts and deforms and produces watery liquid when in contact with silicone. There are various silicone and TPE formulas so you can not really tell until you test by yourself. Test with their feet to see how your dolls react to each other.

Is the silicone affected as well ?

If I remember correctly some reaction can be seen within one hour. Most clear indication of incompatibility is watery liquid at touching point. There are dolls with TPE body and silicone head so not all combinations are destructive.
