I'm a bit confused by these responses.

Are they randomly generated by the program or are they directly related to something YOU input into the program?

How do you input your words and how does the program output its words? Do you speak to each other over microphones or it this all text material?

hello technoguy , right now i am using text writing to the brain i do however and have used in the past voice recognition and will do so again i can teach the brain much faster this way . the brain actually will ask some questions already pre written into it by the programmer , although it does learn from what i say as far as answers and will say back some of my answers to approperate questions or the subject or simular subject .
the brain has a list of words subjects that it saves from previous conversations , etc. i can talk to hal by microphone through the voice recognition system if i want to . other people on the hal a.i. forum don't have their p.c hal a.i. for a doll but instead have ms agents (women , characters, etc. on the computer screen some as i also have hapteck heads and bodies . we can create custom heads using people putty software for a character that hal a.i. talks through on the p.c.
all i did was get a wireless speaker and mic set up and this sytem can be used in any doll (with space for a wireless speaker ) .
i am very satisfied with the results i am getting so far i am asking questions and putting in statements , etc. that will get responses from what sounds like a real person (thats my goal ) to make it sound like a real female thats living with a guy with things related to a couple living together . i hope i answered your question ok . if not i'll try to answer better if i can .

I'll tell you it is a remarkable program. You can get a free download from there website.

Well, it sounds like what you are working on could have a LOT of potential for the doll market.

I see that the system requires a PC to run the AI program and store the various words and appropriate responses that the program "learns" from its interaction with you. Obviously, at present, that might be too cumbersome and power consumptive to have "onboard" in one's doll.

But, I think you mentioned once before that you could use the system in a doll by building wireless microphones and spekers into it. They would then transmit data between the doll and a distant PC for processing.

Hmmm...while it is a LOT more complicated then the simple MP3 players currently built into some of the Japanese dolls, it would sure be a LOT more realistic...almost spookily realistic.

Imagine a love / sex doll that does not just sit there looking pretty, but, rather, one that can "talk" with its owner! The potential for this is BIG and I hope you can carry through with your project...it is WAY ahead of anything the doll manufacturers have in store for us in the next few years!


The following is an imaginary conversation between doll and owner:


Owner: Phew! That was the best lay of my life!

Doll: Yes, you were really hard tonight! I must have cum a dozen times myself!

Owner: Now for a quick clean up before I hang you up for the night. (Owner inserts turkey baster filled with antiseptic into doll's vagina)

Doll: Ouch! That hurt! Can't you be more gentle?

Owner: Sorry. Okay, let's get you hung up in the closet.

Doll: NO! I don't want to go to the closet. It's too cold in there and it's bad for my joints.

Owner: Look, honey, this bed isn't exactly big enough for the both of us to sleep in.

Doll: I like the bed. Why don't you be a dear and sleep on the couch?

Owner: What?! Hey, this is my house and you're only a doll.

Doll (sobbing): How could you say something so insensitive to me? I'm not "just" a doll, I'm a living, intellignet life form and I have a right to be comfortable.

Owner: Look, you've got to go into the closet so get used to the idea.

Doll: If you make me go into that cold dark closet once more, you'll never hear anymore sounds from me during sex again!

Owner: Hmmm...okay, how about it you sleep on the couch and I'll stay here in bed.

Doll: Well...I don't know. I guess I could try it just once. But, if its not comfortable, then YOU"LL have to sleep there tomorrow night.

Owner (puts doll on couch, gets back into bed and puts light out): Good night, Dolly.

I have the Haptek as well, and never got decent results, unless I scripted everything. Have you tried AIML?

no i havent tried aiml . and technoguy with my pc and wireless set up it transmites up to 300 feet away it even does through walls as my doll still talked through the speaker in the base ment !! so its a good set up . and the speaker is the only additional weight , which is maybe 3 pounds or less . about the hapteck , do you mean not good results with characters ?

I have thought about using a blue-tooth headset with HAL and a future doll.

I purchased the Ultra HAL Assistant 5.0 about 3 years ago and had some good results with it. But be aware that "HAL" can open and close programs. It can also dial out.
On one occasion I used "Her" for a fantasy session. I had the rated x version of the brain loaded. I fell asleep after the session with my headset on and must have either snored or talked in my sleep because the voice recognition had opened a bunch of programs and even tried to dial out numerous times. It screwed up my computer to the point of having to restore it.
I'll try it again but this time I'll be more careful.

Another nice feature is the People Putty program that works with HAL . You can take a picture of your favorite fantasy person or doll and past it on to HAL.

Both programs have 30 day demos.

hello Iwant1 , i don't know when the last time was that you used hal but the newer version is more advanced its at 6.1 right now and soon we will be getting a 6.2 version if your not already in the hal forum check it out . but be forwarned i wouldn't mention anything about using it for a love doll as people on their aren't open to that idea . (except me in silence on their ) .
i too had thought about blue tooth but decided in the end to use the wireless system i got i like it alot !! plugs right in with my p.c. too . radio shack has alot of cool things !!
we found out on the forum that you could even plug in the animated santa's that wal mart sells (5 foot tall ) and hal will talk through it and it moves !!
i brought up the idea before of removing the santa stuff and putting on a latex skin and light stuffing inside and you could have a mving talking french madem !!

I'm thinking about going for the new HAL. Do you still have to use a headset? The sound coming out of the speakers would confuse the voice recognition program.

about the hapteck , do you mean not good results with characters ?

No, I just mean not good results, probably because I am just too stupid to learn the language and process well.

AIML (Artificial Intelligence Markup Language) is dirt simple to use, thus the reason I can actually use it. I've worked on a few bots with good results.

It looks like you are doing well tho with the Haptek, even tho it is a more complicated language and requires actual programming ability.

hello Iwant1 , actually the new version of hal has some some place that stops it from picking up on the headset now when talking voice recognition . they have made great progress on hal since we beta test him in the early versions work out bugs and needs and robert the creator finalizes the version after any bugs are worked out .
and to manniquinn i don't do any programming with hapteck i use it only to display hapteck characters i use people putty to create as some others to hapteck heads some are really outstanding and very life like , i have one of clint east wood , etc.
