Forums crashing 3-5am every night?

For the admins/mods. EST time zones posted.
Are the servers having issues backing up the forum database each night?
Its seems like around 3am things get, ultra sluggish, by 4am and often, sql error and max user connection errors are popping up. (At 4am? doesnt seem likely even though this is a WW forum)
Not sure if you guys were aware but it seems to be an issue the past few weeks.
Are more users flowing in that the servers just cant handle? Seems unlikely at 4am but

I think the forum has it's big server dump around this time. But then everything goes back to normal soon afterward.
I have been experiencing this since day one, so it seems to be standard operating procedure.

Seems a bit odd the sql db dumps are taking an hour, or rather, theyre making the entire board sluggish.

Same. I just open many threads in tabs and read whichever one loads first

Please use the forum search, that is a well known problem and we are on it.

Because of the time differences, I'm affected in the morning. Especially annoying on weekends. So there is a little pressure on me to fix that.
