girl dresses up as life-size BJD
This lady likes to dress up as a (ball jointed) doll in her original costumes.
Found the pictures on either Twitter or Tumblr, I can't remember.
Anyway, I thought you might find this as interesting as I! ^^

I do have one BJD and another on the way shortly and I must say she does a very good job of looking like one.
Brilliant paint job and even her face is very BJD. Nice find.

There's several videos of her on YouTube, she goes by the name of Lulu Hashimoto. Here is a Video of her that looks amazing, she does the movements of a doll that is very believable.

Mondoon, I had to read the anacronym several times until I figured out what you meant by BJD. My first thought was 'of course, you do'.
I will be cruising the second-hand bookstores of Tokyo soon, in particular Pygmalion to see their photo books on ball-jointed dolls. Though some of the older (in sense of subject not date of creation) fantasy art of Trevor Brown is more up my alley, e.g. Alice. They have that too and for a 1/4 of new price. To say that dolls and books are revered in Japan would be an understatement.

Wouldn't that mean it's, like, TOO canny? XDKnightshift wrote:If there's such a thing as a "reverse" uncanny valley, I believe this just might qualify!
