Question: Ex-Lite Amputee ("Planet terror")
it's me again - the guy with the strange ideas but almost no money to realize them.
That's why I was absent for a while, to keep me focused on the bigger goals and not get distracted (meaning spending money on just clothes and shoes...)
I'm still looking for a designated doll for outdoor activities and special "projects" and the Ex-Lite seems to be "the one" right now, although I would prefer a "DS167-Lite" even more.
I either wait until they release one, while my 2do-list gets even longer, or buy the current model when it will be unbearable to wait any longer.
The Ex-Lite is in particular interesting because she can act as an amputee without damaging the doll.
Anyway, today it's about adding maybe another big-goal list-item or giving somebody else an idea...
If somebody might have something like this in mind:
How long are the legs from heel to the connection-plate in order to acquire the right "caliber" of prosthesis?

Not to mention the grenades for the under-barrel grenade-launcher...Knightshift wrote:I'd like to know where she keeps her spare mags?!
I like where this is going and the way you think...

No need to sugar code it. We all have tried it already. Plain and simple, the leg just won't fit in a regular stove.nukeno wrote:How long are the legs from heel to the connection-plate in order to acquire the right "caliber" of prosthesis?
You need to cut it up to roast it, or you will have to serve it raw.
Bon appétit! Afterwards, you might want to have a digestive ready.
After you got rid of the the bones, you have that neat connector:
You may now attach your favourite machine gun or hack saw to the limb. For some tools you might need an adapter…
…whilst some other things just seem to fit directly:
The leg is approximately 76 cm from limb to heel. You might want to make the length adjustable to compensate for the other leg, which tends to bend. Or you remove that too - two more meals, your choice

Mister, that is just sick!Dollstudio wrote:No need to sugar code it. We all have tried it already. Plain and simple, the leg just won't fit in a regular stove.
But I like it!
Thanks Sandro!

Probably just the result of believing in modern popular media ( and their slight transmission errors ).nukeno wrote:Mister, that is just sick!
Looks like an attempt on proper "roasted chick legs to me".

Hehe, that's why I love the English language, because it allows for play on words so easily. Must be the reason why international business and law also gets done or written down in it.mi6c wrote:Probably just the result of believing in modern popular media ( and their slight transmission errors ).

Basically everything is just a big joke. And the rest of the non-English-speaking world just doesn't get the embedded black humor ...

Someone has to try first... This is what I call "Head over heels" (or high heeled boots in this case)
and I will call her "Cyba" (short from cyborg) as soon as she is complete.
Only a few more weeks...
But of course, how could it be any different, she is already occuping not one but both of my cameras...

Re: Question: Ex-Lite Amputee ("Planet terror")
Well, I think she will keep us busy and happy until Xmas, when we'll start our next more "family friendly" project.mi6c wrote:Sweet ! Looks like fun ahead.
Luckily but quite unfortunately, I've waited until she arrived to take final measurements.
Luckily, because she has slightly bigger breasts for example or is slightly smaller as stated in the specs.
Unfortunately, because I've now run out of funds, so I'll have to wait until next month to order the proper "prosthesis" and get her outfit made to measure.
But it will be worth it. So this is all we did so far and that is all she does for now... As you probably can tell, Nele on her "high horse" looks quite skeptically.
Maybe because Cyba arrived with the wrong head (we now have two with open eyes instead of one with closed ones), which is not a big deal I think, because it's nice to have one to experiment with, especially for this project, and keep the other like it is.
So Nele is probably just watching me, making sure I'm doing everything right. After all, it's her project and I'm just the muscle putting everything together, only able to guess what she wants me to do...
BTW, I've painted over Cyba's “broken legs”. This is not what she usually looks like.

Re: Question: Ex-Lite Amputee ("Planet terror")
We received the KaylaCE head yesterday. Thanks to Sandro at Dollstudio and DollSweet.
Nele and I also finally ordered the outfit which will be made to measure and takes 1-2 weeks to make.
This step took even longer and was scarier then ordering a new doll...
And we will probably post the next sneak peek as soon as it arrives.
But all this time spent waiting and rethinking is not lost, since we are constantly refining the project along the way.
And while doing that, we've decided to step up the cyborg aspect even further. But one step after another.
The next one will be getting the proper leg-prosthesis. We've decided which one we want, but it's not deliverable at the moment.
And I can't afford it this month anyway because my employer didn't pay out my overtime this month as agreed upon.
So waiting for my next paycheck and the next delivery continuous...

Re: Question: Ex-Lite Amputee ("Planet terror")
It took the tailor 3 weeks to make the outfit, but it was worth having it made to measure as well as waiting for so "long".
Luckily I'm using an ExLite for this, because I don't know if I would have been able to put this ultra tight catsuit on any other type of doll.
It was a huge help to be able to detach the limbs and to squish the soft foam to work my way forward cm by cm.
Should I ever do another specific project like this, I'll probably buy another ExLite.
As a poseable mannequin this doll really shines. So, one step closer but not even close to finishing this project. Next week I'll order her leg "prosthesis" and she gets her own slightly different "visor" too.
Originally I planed to do something entirely different with her head, something much more radical, and maybe I'll do it further down the road, but I like this look too.
Now she looks remotely like "Yorha 2B" from "Nier:Automata", but still different, and I'm going to underline the differences by adding some LED lights to the “visor”.
I also would like to have a big red/pink crystal or LED light in the style of “HAL 9000's“ camera eye, right between her breasts, where her “heart” would be.
And many more little details... But so far so good!
