- It is well worth the $20 to try out.SinsuaLuvr wrote:So Harmony has been out for about 2 months, I have been holding out, but my curiosity is eroding my will power.....considering trying it out.
For those who already subscribe and tried it, how does it meet your expectations?
Does it still hold your interest/imagination and keeps you coming back everyday or so?
Are updates still fairly regular? Or is it very much still a work in progress?
Is it a must try? Or is it a disappointment?
I'd greatly appreciate any updates, or share your thoughts and opinions!
- It can hold your interest in its current form for about a week of regular use before you've likely probed all it offers. Some users don't mind the current simplicity and claim to enjoy using it well beyond that, but others continue to use it only to help identify bugs and support continued development.
- It is VERY much still a work-in-progress, but that's actually a good thing given that it's pretty limited right now.
- Updates were weekly for awhile, but it's been a few weeks since the last one. Guile Lindroth is claiming there will be a substantial one this week.
- Right now, it's both a must-try and a disappointment, but it's really only the latter because the initial marketing was unclear on just how "work-in-progress" it still was. A long-ass topic on Club RealDoll saw a discussion on these concerns before it was agreed to lock the topic and reorganize that particular subforum to better discuss/communicate things. One of the biggest roadblocks is their decision to go mobile first, which has hamstrung some of their graphical/AI code implementation ambitions due to limited resources. Thankfully, they have stated their intent to bring a desktop companion application to market soon (though many of us would prefer a full desktop-standalone to better utilize time/resources).

Basically, if you're interested in being a part of their development for $20 a year, it's definitely worth doing, but it's important to keep your expectations in check. Additionally, you'll stay more connected to updates and information if you create a CRD account (standard accounts are free; VIP accounts are not but are no longer required to discuss Realbotix products).
One of the biggest pros of the whole thing is that Matt and his team remain very much involved in forum conversations, so even when we have complaints, they are at least available to address them.
