Sorry to hear. What a shame. Thanks for letting us know the cause of death. Hopefully this will motivate me to find the cure.

Apparently it was cancer of the pancreas.
Ouch. :( You get pancreatic cancer; you might as well start putting your affairs in order.

LBW: Thanks for letting us know the cause of death. Hopefully this will motivate me to find the cure.

Roll up your sleeves and get funding from The Jimmy V Foundation. PBShelley is probably already hearing "Been there. Done that." from Michael Landon and Patrick Swayze.
So here’s what I’m thinking.  I’ll be Charlie and you can all be my angels.  Except you.  You be Bosley.

My condolences to family and friends. Doll owners do share an intimate side of ourselves here on the forum.
PBShelley shared much with us.

Some of the photos in the book, including PBS and his first doll, are on Elena Dorfman's web site:

One of the other doll owners in that region of the USA is looking after his dolls, I hear.

Apparently it was cancer of the pancreas.

Thanks for that information.
Also good to know Lily is being looked after as she deserves.

I have a set of Guy Louis eyes I bought off him in one of my girls.

May his books sell very well so as to help his estate.

It looks to be this is he's amazon page.
http://www.amazon.com/Robert-McKay/e/B0 ... _pel_pop_1

I found his posts here.
http://www.dollforum.com/forum/search.p ... 8&sr=posts

And the last tweets here stating he had pancreatic cancer.

If it's over stepping my bounds, please delete this post. I just...when I see these death announcements on here I can't help but grasp on to who the person is. I didn't recognize the name. But if I had known him he seemed to have been a very good man. I feel bad to have missed an author here looking for recognition for his work. The last few posts weren't replied too. I'll come back and delete this, but I was curious when i didn't recognize the name and i think all of us should feel exactly who we lost here at TDF.

Oh I'm so sorry to hear this. I was just chatting to Playtime and he told me. Thanks for posting this Everhard and you are right to place it here in the Legends and memorials.

I knew PBShelley from the beginning of the doll community and he was a really nice person. It doesn't seem five minutes ago since he wrote to me asking if he could post about his new book.

Let me give my Sincere condolences

I've started reading the first book of Unbound. I've had it and Book 2 on my Kindle for a while, but PBS' unfortunate demise got me to stop procrastinating on it.

If you've seen pictures of Lily the RD, you'll appreciate how well PBS describes Lily in the book.
So here’s what I’m thinking.  I’ll be Charlie and you can all be my angels.  Except you.  You be Bosley.

Sorry to hear this. As a member of the Forum I never knew him, but it sounds like he had a lot to do with the doll community. I am sure he will be missed by many. It's always sad when someone is gone. :(

I read his books when he was still with us and sent him reviews and encouragement via post and PM. He was a good writer and I was looking forward to more. He will be missed. :(

First visit since I'm back from Thailand, and then, such sad news :(

PBShelley was one of those to welcome me here, when I was new myself. Holy crap, that's 9 years ago already... PBS helped me so much with his advice, and many of his posts where not just helpful, but a real inspiration. A pity he wasn't around much anymore later on. But he's one of those that I never forgot.
