Musical Instrument Case Idea

Post by JackT »

Abyss,

Just a thought about shipping/storage cases: Anvil/Calzone type musical instrument cases.

Pros:

- With wheels and handles it could be easier to maneuver for the shipping company, perhaps lessening the potential for damage during shipping.

- With wheels and handles it could be easier to maneuver for the owner, i.e. moving to a new residence, etc.

- With exterior lock it could provide a measure of security for the owner.

Cons:

- Could be prohibitively expensive or impossible for RD2 due to mass and dimensions.

- JackT likely loco, his ideas as well ;-)

FYI - I purchased a custom case (emailed them the dimensions) for an 88 key digital piano at 25 lbs., using 1/4” panels, final cost was approximately $300 from Road Cases USA ( Long Island, NY ). Here’s their URL:

You might be familiar with Calzone Case (who purchased Anvil) and serves the west coast:

Best to the staff and the lovely ladies!

Cheers,
JackT
