Softening TPE insert?

Softening TPE insert?
Is there any way to soften a tpe insert? Soak it in mineral oil maybe?

Yup that would work, maybe not soak but a very generous application should do the trick. I oil the insert after every cleaning, not sure if it actually softens or just feels as if it did.
