TPE self healing at 98.6 f?

The link above will lead to a very informative video regardingthermoplastic polymers. What it never said for sure was if TPE is a self healing g thermolastic polymer? Anyone have Insight/Intel on this? If it is self healing that would mean no more super glue gel or TPE glue. Would just have to find a steady 98-99 environment for roughly 24 hours and like us they would heal themselves . My fingers are crossed because we had to perform a massive surgery and cut all the way down both legs of our girl, take out the skelatin from the hips down, weld two spots just above hips and somehow have to rebuild the lower to spine since we can't weld it. After this kind of repair, it sure would be nice if she could just take over from there and fix herself back together. I imagine another plus would be the lack of an ugly scar. Lastly no gel glue that seems to leave an unatural feel. Fingers crossed I. Going to try it. I have Saran wrap between the cuts now just in case so she doesn't heal herself while we're doing skelatal work.

Sorry pal..I am calling MajorImage

on that hypothesis...I have had 7 days in a row of overt 115 degrees F, down under and my TPE girls blemishes have not resurected miraculously like Jesus of the Christ....although...it is evidently the right time of the year for it  .

George at XS posted a good smoothing routine video for TPE here viewtopic.php?f=257&t=81004 that you may want to view.

no it will not heal, though it will reshape. Be careful with movement during extremes of temperatures. If it's hot and you move a joint it can easily tear at all of the creases. Cool it down first before moving.

technically heat is the best way to mend the material but not at 99 degrees. isolated heat can mend injuries but would melt an entire doll if subjected to those temps
