WM Dolls Barbie 155cm broken off leg

A super awesome fellow forum member was kind enough to donate this lovely lady to me for the cost of shipping. She had some minor repair issues and one major one. Her leg was broken off. I had to address the problem but had to come up with a decent solution to repairing her leg.

Ok, so I ran steel all-thread inside the leg pipe, drilled a couple holes through the all-thread at specific points and then ran machine screws through the leg and all-thread to reinforce it, but before putting the all-thread in I smeared it with with JB Weld so it would adhere from the inside of the leg pipe even stronger. The hope is the leg doesn't break again. Did a little makeup work and recolored some areas. The leg isn't perfect but I think after using some tpe paste on the scars when it becomes available, it will look a bit better.

Ok lastly, the old wig out and the new wig on. I'm not usually big on synthetic wigs anyways, so replaced it with this human hair one.

Nice work Starion! Nice white teeth, too. Did you use TPE paste? Is there more coming? She is definitely "alive" again after horrible injuries.

Thanks everyone! I just enjoy collecting and repairing dolls to the best of my ability. I hate to see a girl in need of a home end up in a dump if I can stop it. This one may not have ended up in the dump but there have been some I rescued that the dump was exactly where they would have been headed if I hadn't adopted them. I'm very grateful for the opportunity to acquire and repair and care for these hurt ladies.

I suppose it's sort of fortunate that the break point occurred at the knee vice at the pelvic joint.

Great job Starion ^^, I cringed when I saw the picture of her broken leg, then I smiled when I saw the pictures of the repair you did plus the new makeup and other colorings you did which all looked very well done to me. Happy there is someone like you that is giving broken dolls a chance at a new life again and making them look great again ^^

I will never fault you for that. My 155 also gets radical contortionist sex. Why? Because she CAN!

I've done things to her that certainly would have broken a less flexible doll, and by that, I mean high end dolls too. These dolls can take a lot, but they have their breaking point. So far, mine is mostly unscathed. For now.
