This is really cool. Can you point me to a place to get a body like that? I am looking on ebay, but don't see it.

I've seen this one offered but there's not a lot if info available.
For instance I wonder if the doll has plastic or steel joints? How does it relate to the phicen, height wise?

JoDoll have a plastic skeleton, but it's by far different than the Phicen.
The main issue with plastic joints system on Phicen, is that it can easily broke, in particular, at the level of the elbows, when the doll wear clothes that cover the body. It has also a limited posing ability, because it move by step (with horrible clicks).
With JoDoll: forget all that issues ! it move nicely and smoothly.

Height: quite about the same than Phicen. May be, JoDoll body is 5mm taller, but this is not a huge difference.

Height, to the top of the neck is about 26 cm.

Barbie is the winner

: only 83 g (2.92 oz)
JoDoll body : 186 g (6.56 oz) - head not included
Phicen plastic : 207 g (7.30 oz)
Phicen steel : 297 g (10.48 oz)

Head is about 15 g, so compared to a Phicen plastic, the JoDoll is a bit lighter but difference is less than 10 g.

I have ordered 4 dolls: one Jodoll (thanks to your advice), 2 phicen SS and a ATDoll "Lovely Body" and a bigger number of heads. Really looking forward to receiving them!
The only thing I am a bit worried about is the skintones; they hardly ever seem to fit. How do you solve this, do you use silicone/acrylic paint to harmonize the colours?

By the way: it seems that the JoDoll has significantly smaller shoulders (only slightly bigger than Barbie's) than the Phicens.

That would mean that the JoDoll would be more comfortable wearing Barbie outfits ..
