Gonna have to solder ALL those damn pins. Thats for the servo driver that piggy backs on the Arduino Uno

Cannot get the servos to work with the Arduino, when soldering those pins, i bridged a servo lead, OPPS, servo getting power and all, just don't move when loading a sketch. Damn those shaky hand and bad eye sight

The eye module is going for some improvements; the control ring is going to get the RC truck halfshaft mounted to it instead of the back of the eye itself, that way i can change the eyes when i want. BTW the empty servo you see in the pic is for the eye LR, and the inverted servo is for the eyelids

This is my first plat cure casting, her original face was TPE. Used Dragon Skin 10 fast with 1 1/2 Slacker added to give the silicon a fleshy "feel". I need better molds, or release, stuck hard, tore some on the right chin area, SHIT she looked like she fell off the back of my scoot at 60MPH, so i spooned some plat cure on that area, well helped a little, now she has warts, OH NO! Couldn't tell in a dark room that much anyway, and boy is her mouth sexy. One thing for sure in this hobby, like my RC flying, try and try again, just can't afford many goofs

Hey BB,

Looks like you're making great progress so far!
Thanks for the mention by the way - hope the eyelids work well for your project!

A few things I discovered about the E123 module...
The 300 seconds that they advertise is a little misleading.
That's for the lowest quality sound (4.7K sample rate) which won't be good for anything other than moans or simple noises.
You'll need to use 12K to get any kind of decent sound, so the actual recording time will be much less than 300 seconds. Still a good unit though - with the programming feature you can use many short clips and mix them to create different responses.

Another thing is the speaker that comes with it is pretty bad.
You'll probably want to use a small powered speaker with the 3.5mm jack.
I picked up one of these a while back, but I haven't had a chance to try it out yet.
Only about 5 bucks at Walmart - about 1-3/4" diameter...

Got the servos to play with the Arduino, now to learn how to build sketches for the doll. Soldering those f#*king pins with me long in the tooth eyesight makes Bigburrito a grumpy burrito.
Now i'm going to improve the eye module so i can xchange the eyes by mounting the RC truck shafts to the control ring instead of the eye itself, so the eye part is liberated from the u joint, and i ordered the speaker that Mannequin Fan suggested fur the voice

Got the eyelids from MannequinFan, and getting mocked up. May glue the face eyelids to this for more real effects

Poured another mask, look ma, no road rash!, and using patolium jelly helped the release, also been coloring the plat cure with acryilic paint from WallyWorld, alot cheaper and available than SilPig

Hey BB, glad to see the eyelids worked out! :)
I've also been wondering if acrylic paint would work with platinum silicone. It works very nicely with the Permatex windshield sealant.

Did it cause any curing problems with the platsil?
