Two is better than one.
Two is better than one.
So, I decided to do both, what the hell, you only live once (fortunately.)
I don't know how it will end, but it's better to try and fail than to never try at all.
I'm also thinking to try new ways and different materials, it's useless to do it the same way as everybody else does it. It would be great to cut down the costs and the weight, I have some ideas I need to test, but for now I'm working on the clay, we'll see...
It will take a long time.
This is for a 100 cm. body. And this is for a 175 cm. body.

The little one will be with fixed head. The big one will be with changeable head. So much to do, so little time...

Are they going to be silicone?
I look forward to the progress.

I'm still doing tests for the materials, but most likely there will be silicone rubber and gel, and different kinds of foams as well. I want to keep them lightweight.

The big one: I've started to do the hands with plasteline, but I've used it a lot of times and it's full of dirt. So, I think I'll do them again with brand new plasteline, as soon as I buy it. The little one It's well under way: I want to start with her, to test the materials and see what happen...

Re: Two is better than one.
I had some trouble with the clay. I was busy with other works, and I had to stay out of town for several days, so when I came back I found the worst surprise: most of the clay was hard or collapsed. Too much heat, and I wasn't there to wet the clay.
I saved most of the big one, but the little one was a mess, only head and feet were left. Now that I think of it, it was a bit funny to see a thin piece of metal with head and feet, but at that time I was really pissed off.
Anyway, to make it short, I've redone it, and I think now it's even better. Here is the final result. Just to be on the safe side, this time I already did the mold.
Here is the barrier for the first valve: This is the gelcoat: The fiberglass: And this is the result: Now I have to clean the mold: Then I can go to the next phase. When time permits, as always.
By the way, I don't go much into details because I don't want to bore you or sound cocky or anything, but if somebody have some questions feel free to ask.

Are you a professional sculptor?

Re: Two is better than one.
You really have quite a talent there.
I think this really shows people how much work and skill goes into creating something like this.
Over the years that I've been here I've seen so many posts about folks wanting to create their own doll.
I think this clearly shows what it takes, and you haven't even got to the casting phase yet.
It's a shame that the original sculpt has to be destroyed in the process, but you can always cast a new master.
Can't wait to see the final product - thanks so much for sharing your work!
