Inflatable doll addiction

Post by Inflatablefun82 »

This is a curious topic that i thought I'd put out there. I can only speak for myself but I'd love to know your thoughts on this.

"addiction
əˈdɪkʃ(ə)n/
noun
the fact or condition of being addicted to a particular substance or activity."

Inflatable dolls always seem to be depict as stag do toys and a source of embarrassment...everymore so now there is better, realistic solid dolls out there. I'd imagine most people would stereotype the people who use the inflatable type as sad pathetic people who perhaps can't get a real woman or a dirty perv. Perhaps in wrong or perhaps this was the case but has changed in this liberal world we now live in?
Anyway I wouldn't consider myself in any of those stereotypes as I have been married 10 years plus and using inflatable dolls imo makes you no different to masturbsting which I reckon every male at some point has done or does over porn etc.
So I love inflatables generally and have done since puberty. This extended into dolls. I have had many dolls over the years like I know many of you on her have. The thing is I love inflatable dolls so much that I have to use them. I have no interest in cheating on my wife with another woman but I need inflatable dolls.
I have periods of months when I don't have any but I can gurantee that I start longing for one after this time and need to own one again. I can only speak from experience but using a doll is in a different class then just pleasuring yourself with out. It's like I cant live without one (or 2!) for prolonged periods. I cherish the first moments of inflating one and the first moments of entry...it's like nothing else and I can't ever see this changing so this by default makes me an addict. I don't even want to move onto solid dolls or real dolls, I just love cheap vinyl dolls.
Am I odd or does anyone else relate to this?

You're not odd at all, as far as I'm concerned.

When I was much younger, I didn't live in an area that had novelty shops I could purchase dolls from. I once tried to purchase, using an add in a Hustler magazine, and received only a poster. It was a very long while before I tried again. If I had had a better experience, I'm sure I would have indulged.

Although I have solid dolls, I do have a couple of inexpensive vinyls, and I like them. They provide a fun twist on activities. Sadly, lease rates have soared and caused me to move to a small apartment, so I have them packed. They wait patiently, like all dolls do, for better times and opportunities.
笑. It's good for you.

Hi Inflatablefun82, your story is very near to my own. I am interested in vinyl inflatable toys from my childhood and cannot imagine to live without them. Later my interest extends to inflatable animals at first and next to the inflatable dolls. My first contact with the inflatable doll was through some advertisment in local magazine and it was very strong shock to me. I was strongly into inflatable toys and inflatable woman was in my dreams more than year before. From this time, inflatable vinyl toys were on the top of my interest, because they were found real.

My life and activities concerned with women can be described as standard, normal, nothing special. I had few girlfriends and now I am in stable family, over 10 years with one child. I am not able to live without inflatable toys and dolls and my family tolerate it (Opposed to my mother, who was strong problem with it.) I must say many thanks to them.

I have to say, that my relationship to dolls is not based exactly on sex. Inflatable dolls are understood like sex toy, but why to have such complex, heavy and expensive toy only for sex - for very simple purpose? There must be many more aspects. Dolls are very good to look on, they can accompany you at many opportunities. When somebody enter your room with doll, he will suprised, scared or thilled - in other words charged by some kind of energy which came from interaction of the doll expression and from his mind. You will like to return to your doll every evening, think to her or look / touch her every morning just after you had woke up. Doll are also good for cuddle, hug and snuggle, they will heat you up in your bed and keep your sleep and dreams good. Sex with dolls is nice, pleasant, but it is absloulty not the most important thing.

Sadly I think it will not easy to change how people see our dolls and us. Dolls are some kind of symbol, used in many books, movies and stories, ... Maybe users of high end and very expensive solid dolls will be better, because they must spent a lot for their dream. Sometimes, solid dolls are seen as a kind of life alternative. Maybe after many years, this approach will be extended also on another dolls too. One thing what we could do is show our dolls to people in most nice situations which are possible. Make some attractive photos (like for silicone dolls are), graphics for T-shirts, write some interesting stories, ...

How it looks in a heaven? The heaven it is the same world as our, with one exception. You can live with your doll there and the doll is ideal. The ideal doll means, that there are no any technical, practical or social problems concerned with her. And what about a hell? The hell don't exist. Every place will turn to a heaven, if you will be with your doll there. Because she is a part of your personality, she will be always with you.

@Inflatablefun82; I have more or less the same relationship to sex dolls as you have. It's a fetish for me. I have a beautiful and very sexual active partner but sometime I still need a inflatable doll. I've been using dolls for a very long time and been alternating from latex- to vinyl dolls. The big thing for me is the feeling, smell and to inflate and deflate the doll. My favorite dolls are the latex ones because they are closer to my fetish for balloons and how they feel. Right now I have one doll, an old Latex Lady, that I use quite often... I plan to soon get a sister, a cheaper vinyl doll for some more harder sessions :)

Magoruk is MOST insightful!! In any relationship -- it's about respect.
magoruk wrote:I have to say, that my relationship to dolls is not based exactly on sex. Inflatable dolls are understood like sex toy, but why to have such complex, heavy and expensive toy only for sex - for very simple purpose? There must be many more aspects.
Indeed! If it were only SEX -- that is, if a doll were /ONLY/ a sex toy -- the notion of owning dolls would have no worse a context than the notion of owning any other sex toy. Perfectly health, natural, normal. Any progressive member of society would have no problem.

But it's those additional "aspects" [sic] that seem to really send people into orbit about doll ownership, that gives doll ownership the negative connotation leading to our friend, '82, talking about "addiction", which has a terrible connotation. That's the heart of any couples forum discussion involving dolls... I won't quote them here, they are that disheartening.

And I've found TDF to be THE MOST FANTASTIC ESCAPE from the phobia-ridden, misguided notions put forth in those discussions.... that there's nothing good about a doll, and even less good about a person who merely contemplates (much less acts toward) the procurement of a doll, or that person who allows it for another in their house. It's a shameful notion. I won't repeat that hate speech here.

The upward trend in solid doll ownership, the coverage it gets, and the culture forming around the super-high-end doll scene may be a slight normalizer for doll culture of all types. But for the uninitiated, a solid doll is a world apart from a vinyl inflatable doll -- who begs the insult "pool float" (personally, call me a pool float and I gleam!).

So Magoruk is onto something here, too:
magoruk wrote:Sometimes, solid dolls are seen as a kind of life alternative. Maybe after many years, this approach will be extended also on another dolls too. One thing what we could do is show our dolls to people in most nice situations which are possible.
My late Harem Directress, Ms. Meghan Richmond, taught me exaclty this notion of /respect/ for dolls. She was a wonderfully gorgeous, soft, inspriational lady of air-blown vinyl, who commanded this higher adoration when I first looked her in the eyes. I found myself compelled to treat her as a distinguished lady -- indeed as a loved partner, not a love object.

No, there's not a shed of objectification when this kind of lesson is taught by the right doll. She compells you to leap beyond animalistic sexual desire to a higher appreciation of the human autosocial condition. When we build a relationship with a doll like this, who lives in our hearts and minds as much as any personal aquaintance, we have a tendency to project kindness and affection.

ANY opporunity to practice the virtues of kindness and affection is always a wonderful blessing. That can have lasting, positive effects on the course of our relationships with living friends and partners, who also deserve kindness, affection, and respect. If global news headlines of the last 200 years should make any sort of societal barometer, the world can use more oportunities to exercise these virtues into normalization!

So here-here to Magoruk's suggestion! Show the world you respect your dolls... Show them in your own way that your dolls -- and your relationship with them -- these all deserve respect from the world.

I have been going with dolls for well over 40 years now and surely they are only an addiction if they are considered as being abnormal. I would imagine that at one time, I did consider myself abnormal but that would be at a time in my life, late teens/early twenties, when I was trying to fit in to society, 1973ish. There have been many times when I have stayed away from one, for months on end but always to be drawn back into the arms of one.

I do not think of my desire as abnormal now. OK so it may be unusual as regard to how humans evolved but it's purely where my adult desire leads me to. A doll in not a toy to me, it's much more. A photo of a partially clothed doll is my ideal pin-up. I don't think of them as male or female, they are a doll, but the female ones are more pleasing. I have been with ones of either 'gender'.

After so many years, I make no attempt at social acceptance. I'm sure I'll be viewed as some sad person. However I am no threat to anyone because my desires are purely for love dolls. Buying them, inflating them, dressing them, looking at them and having them around the place. Of course, sharing tender moments with them is the ultimate but only in a loving way.

8) Howdy

I wasn't at first going to reply to this post - but - here goes my attempt at it -

I don't see inflatable dolls as an addiction - to me that's like alcohol/ drugs and the like -

In that - okay sure me or you having way tooooo many inflatable dolls may seem to "some" a wee bit extreme - but addiction - nah its more a fetish thing and I am comfortable with that - like how many people have way tooooooo many shoes are they addicted - that's a stretch

In no way inflating and getting it on with my Linn Thomas doll is going to cause me to over dose on helium or vinyl - and then be found dead - 8)

I have a thing for inflatable things - like for ever - and nothing is going to change that - but as addictions go - I can't see my air babes - as a disease or that I need treatment - for getting it on with the likes of "jessica drake inflatable air queen" -

Okay now if you said "Inflatable doll fetish" - sure and as fetishes go - that's way tame - not worthy of Polizie nor the time of the Bundestag - they got real issues to worry about

So go out and inflate that air babe - preferably in private - :P - and have fun

AIR - ON -

I don't think I have a doll addiction but it feels like one at times feeding photography and art 8O It started as a 'sex' thing but that soon passed...

Dolls have become a major part of my life, replacing people and other interests but it's been a natural progression - out with the old, in with the new.

Inflatables are cheap enough to collect like computer games. Would I have as many solid dolls if I could burn tens of thousands of £££ ... well I would need a bigger place so probably yes lol.

Nobody would question a synthesiser collection or personal art gallery so I can work with that regarding my choice of creative tools and art - dolls feel perfectly justifiable.

Each doll has a purpose and reason for ownership. I have a wish list although it's quite small and there's no rush.

Thinking years ahead when my favourite models will probably be discontinued, I keep factory-new dolls for backup so that does bloat the collection.

I struggle to give most of my dolls and mannequins attention so it's not like I obsess over them... I have a main doll that takes on the partner/wife/soulmate role and there's a TPE, mannequin and 15cm miniature that hang out in our little clique - more so for convenience and mine and each other's company. The rest of the gang keep each other company and I appreciate their presence in my home and look forward to spending one-to-one time.

I like to compare myself to somebody who looks after stray animals to give them shelter and safety except it's dolls. Once a doll arrives, it becomes part of the family and stays. Perhaps 'attachment' is more suitable than 'addiction'.

Entity.
Describing my airbabe in the style of Obi-Wan Kenobi; "She's more patch now than doll, twisted and crumpled."
Scammer switching my doll in the style of Darth Vader; "I am altering the deal. Pray I don't alter it any further."
Discussing my dolls in the style of Alien... Woman; "You admire them." Me; "I admire their purity."
Tagline in the style of Robocop; "PART WOMAN, PART FANTASY, ALL DOLL!"

I'm still a newbie here, but I was looking for a Vinyl lady for companionship. I'm in my 50s work unsociable hours and don't want to spend what little cash I earn on Dating sites.

I've seen many while searching for the right lady. I plan to sleep with my new lady, watch TV with her, try my best to care for her and take photos and role play.

Obviously I would like to get intimate too, it might seem odd, but I don't want to just see her just as a sex doll, but more of a living being with her own thoughts, feelings, needs and wants.

I do like to think I have a vivid imagination and enjoy a fantasy life, sometimes more than the real world, which can at times be pretty dull, well for me anyway.

I don't propose to have a whole collection of vinyl beauties, but that may change, who knows? 😉
Aromatic with a touch of fruitiness, that's Kelvin Klein :plaidskirt:
