Need Storage Ideas From You Fine Folks And Other Questions

Post by shotakong »

Hello everyone,

I'm really debating getting myself a lovely PIB. The reason I am choosing one is because the Island Girl body just looks so amazing.

Does anybody own an Island Girl? Is she fairly manageable at being close to 90 lbs? I'm still youthful and can manage lifting weight still.

What kind of ways do you store your doll? I live in a 1 bedroom/1bathroom apartment. My landlord and other people sometimes visit, but other than that, no one else and no pets. Is there a way to maybe store her in her original box with something cover it? I want to keep her private from the rest of the people in close proximity due to the nature of my profession.

If I get a hanging bolt, is it recessed and is there maybe a silicon plug to put over it when the bolt isn't in use?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

-Kong

U can keep her in your bed with you when your home. Put her in her original box in the closet when she needs hidden. Can put some memory foam in the original box for her to lay on. Can even put a chair in the closet for her to sit on. Put a new lock on the closet...12 bucks at the hardware store. I suggest keeping it simple and not overthinking it. Good luck

The MALM bed is a great option, especially if you are needing to replace your bed anyway.

I agree with DA and bootylover! I have one and it is excellent as nobody can tell (without close inspection) that it is even a storage bed so those who don't know about my dolls don't know about the bed either and so they are well hidden!

The most practical and inexpensive is to obtain a trundle bed to store things underneath style as in the photos that you attached. You can find them from 200 $/€, depending on the size. The bed can be two styles: which opens upward, or opens sideways. The latter usually have an extra mattress for guests, simply leave it without a mattress and instead place a thin layer of soft foam that is cheaper than memory foam, more than enough for the doll without deforming leaving her lying indefinitely. In sofas stores you can get foam, or at least they can tell you where to get it, It is the same as is used as fill (Also attached in photos), It is cheap and you can order measure. Foam ask for it as if it were a mattress more, but make sure it's not too thick to fit your wrist properly in the hollow, with roominess. If the foam-filling is not white placed a white bed sheet to protect your wrist from stains.

Note: it may be that by asking you in the store a very thin foam they will say it will not be comfortable to sleep because they think it is for a person, just say it is to protect the bottom of the wooden bed, any excuse to get rid of the nagging question.

" w 8O w " .....AwEsOmE!!!
I like the black frame model best, but not in the market for one (nice nevertheless).
Installing some sort of lock mechanism would probably fall in place next :painting:

:shocked!: Preferably NOT One of These: :shocked!: ... WARNING! ... Do Not Loose Key!!!

I believe PIB has a specialised storage duffle bag as an option on purchase that may do the trick if your expecting guests that may not get your gal!

Not a long term thing, but good for visitors or travelling on road trips together.
