Is there a way to restore/fix the links in this thread ?
Seems like they don't work anymore since the forum changed to the new setup.
Could really use them now ...

The threads the links points to are still there. It requires some detective work to find the threads and update the links.

Here is one that is about Removing Finger Wires with discussion and advice from forum members:

http://dollforum.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=37&t=23377

For prospective doll owners one may consider ordering a doll without the finger wires. However Abyss/Phoenix recently has improved upon this oversight in development. I will also add that a Szalinski had a fingerpoke on his Sharon within a month of owning his doll.

Here is a thread to a technique that Szalinski has used to keep the finger pokes from poking out of the tops of the fingertips along with further discussion from forum members:

A neck bolt is not required at all.

You can store her on any soft, untextured surface. Lying in bed, sitting on a soft chair cushion. Lying in her shipping container (with the foam packing material under her). All these are fine.

Of course you can still use the neck bolt if you want to hang her for storage. But thanks to platinum silicone used in dolls nowadays, this is not a requirement anymore to protect against compression damage, like it used to be with tin cure dolls.

Hanging her from a neck bolt is still a great way to make dressing her a lot easier.

ks,

so the used dolls for sale that have the flat boobs are the older tin cure dolls and the newer models won't encounter that problem?

Boobs can 'deflate' over time, and this is not compression damage but rather a problem with the silicone gel inside the breasts shrinking. Some newer platinum dolls can still experience this problem, although it seems to occur less often than with tin cure silicone dolls. I'm not sure why but it affects some platinum dolls but not others. I've seen this occur in 4 boytoy dolls so far, that I have seen on the buy and sell forum.

This problem has an easy fix, inject with more silicone gel!

Compression damage is leaving your doll laying in bed without moving her for a month and then finding her previously round little ass is now flat as a pancake! This is a fate that befell many tin cure dolls, the new platinum dolls are not prone to this type of damage if stored on a soft surface.

I purchased a repair kit from the real doll site to fix a finger poke and to tack down one of my Boy Toy Doll's nipples. I have the Large nipple modification. The silicon that comes with works very well. and the Color match on Medium skin was perfect.

Fixing BoyToy Floppy Head Syndrome

I've posted a tutorial which shows how to remove the pop rivets which cause BoyToy floppy head and replace them with a nut and bolt. >>Here<<

Good luck to those who give it a go.
