What is a TEDDYBABE?

OOH well now, seems that Teddybabes have been a little overlooked lately, hmmm?

So, in an effort to induce some more activity on this section, I would like to ask our forum ladies of all types to please give your idea of what it is to be a Teddybabe.

Either from an outside point of view or from our sweet Teddybabes themselves.

Either in general, and/or perhaps about a particular babe you know of on or off any forums as well.

I would also encourage the boys to give your own ideas of what Teddybabes would or do mean to them.

Be as creative as you feel, we are only looking for positive opinions, so please, no negative Nancy's thank you.

It doesn't have to be your own babe, it could be about one you admire.

Also I ask for one or two pictures of each babe in question to help illustrate your feelings.

Come on guys, lets show the passion for our plush babes and tell us how you feel.

I see her sleeping in the half light of the morning, the first weak rays of the sun already making her fiery hair blaze as it spills across her face, messy from a night of the sweetest dreams. I tighten my arms around her and she moves closer with an easy sigh, her soft warmth pressed against me, her scent blown gently by the movement of the sheets. She curls her legs around mine as she drapes an arm over me, her head settling against my shoulder, forehead against my lips as she murmurs a sleepy 'I love you'.

I know I've said it before, but the eyelids add so much. They should almost be a standard accessory that comes with them. All the more so for a doll who so excels at sleeping and cuddling. Whoever first thought of that was a genius.

I have to agree with you Jackie T, the closed eyes are absolutely essential.
It adds an extra dimension to lovemaking, as well as highlighting the sweet gentle warmth of a sleeping beauty, as Karrot has so eloquently demonstrated above.

Yeah, I'm going to have to see if there's any kind of a fabric shop in town before mine gets here. I'd feel terrible if she didn't sleep well her first night in her new home.

Plus that's got to be so amazing to wake up and she's still sleeping. I don't know why, but that just seems so endearing. It could be kind of a trap though where I'll never want to "wake" her and I'll just lie still for hours letting her rest, lol. I've never really been an early morning person anyway, but this could require a new level of willpower to get out of bed at all.

JT, you only need a small square of felt, so any decent hobby store should have some and pretty cheap too. For extra effect you can sew or glue a black line along the bottom or even false lashes. Jess just has a black line.

Hi Emma, and Welcome. They dont get the nickname Cuddle Monster for nothing. It's generally agreed that you cant get better than a Teddybabe for cuddling.

And they look even cuter when 2 of them is doing it

I am so glad that I have Lian in such a case, I would go nuts if I had no TB to grab and cuddle at the sight of such pictures! Oh wait, I am already nuts. But still.

But well, you know. The best things can't be shown on photos anyway. Or shouldn't.

Lian means to me more than just a little company, she's the focus point of my love. I do not go too far out, she is still my beloved doll, with her personality inside my head. But that does not stop me from all the benefits of cuddling and whatnot. If I wasn't such a lazy a$$, I would even take a few more pictures of her, but oh well.

It's amazing how they're all unique too and how each face is so expressive and has so much personality. The ones I've seen a lot of pictures on this forum I'm sure I could pick them out of a lineup even with other dolls of the exact same model. I'm pretty confident I could do it even without hair (which, admitably, does make it easy for some of them pictured in this thread, namely Lian or Pinky, lol).

Do they do that on purpose or does it just happen? I've never seen two completely alike in either case.

There is much hand work done on TB's at the factory, or at least used to be, things have recently changed, but to what extent, I don't know.
Same models can often look quite identical, especially from the same batch, but immediately they arrive at your door, you clothe them, style them and accessorize them with your individual tastes.
Camera angles and photographic elements lend much to the personality as does context.
For many reasons they take on individuality, like being cuddled and intimate activities soften the stuffing a lot over time, this can also have an impact on aesthetic impressions.
Mostly though, I've found like any person, getting to know them well is the most profound way to imprint individualism.
