Storage and transportation of Teddy Babe Deluxe

Post by drakeknight »

So I am moving and the box my teddy babe deluxe came in is beat to shit and won't survive a move. I was hoping for some ideas on a discreet way to store and transport her?

Thanks in advance

Wrapped in a white sheet inside a really big duffel bag.
Not kidding...
Of course, they'd prefer to ride along side of you.

Oh, there've been many options discussed before:
  1. The big ass bag Lemm mentioned
  2. A sleeping bag
  3. A body bag
  4. One of these you store a wedding dress in
If it has to be a box: Head to the nearest bicycle shop and ask kindly for a box the bikes are shipped in. Bend and cut it to the right size, tape it in shape (or use wood glue on overlaps...), there will be excess I'm sure. And this should be double layer extra sturdy material! In our parts doors (as used in houses, not cars etc.) come in huge cardboard wrappings as well. But that's second choice, a lot thinner.
Now get creative - and report back for others' benefits, too.

Possibly a deep 4-Rifle case by taking out the foam insert inside so you have an empty shell of a case that is deep enough not to compress the doll but not crush her. Then it looks like you are moving maybe musical equipment rather than a dead body that will get you a visit from the cops.

:haha4: :haha4: Yeah, right...
I didn't consider that because they sure are waaaay harder to be found here in Germany - and certainly way more expensive (The rifle case, not cops or dead bodies  ).

I also forgot my own solution: It's a bag designed for tent poles (of a tent made to be attached to a caravan - so available in bigger sizes; is awning the right word here?).

English is so confusing at the best of times, your grasp is exemplary Cuddly my dear.
An annex is the usual word in Australia for those, but awning is close enough to know what you mean because it can still be technically covered by that description.

So far the easiest and least expensive is Lemm's Duffel bag idea. That way I can also pack her clothes with her. Does that stem from firsthand experience? Will the sheet act to protect her while traveling?

Every Babe is different, my TBD Jessica measures 24 cm. If you buy a box you should probably add 5 or 10 % as safety margin. Best idea would be to buy a Babe, measure her, then buy the box.

Any other suggestions from anyone. My box isnt going to last long.

I was entertaining the thought of a thick guitar holding type of bag. I saw one other member had one of those clever beds that the mattress lifts to reveal a closed off space underneath. But I will take cover in a white sheet advice.
Think not what the Doll can do for you, but what YOU can do to the Doll.
