Hi, Im going to be purchasing my very first doll, now I have been doing countless hours researching and looking for the best prices.

In terms of doll size/cost it seems DollTo has the best, but I see you guys have 2 sites, what is the difference from ordering from the 2 sites?

Ill link the doll i want from you guys at both sites

https://dollto.com/product/doll-house-168-138cm-doll-koi/

and

https://www.dolltochina.com/product-page/dollhouse-138cm-koi-1

On DollToChina there is a summersale going on which id like to use but i dont see that on the USA site. but on the dolltochina it says you also ship to USA. so which site should i order from Im confused.

PS
the KOI doll shows a blonde hair but when i see the wig options they are black hair. Will i be getting a black hair wig?

Also, I was wondering if any of you have any input on my choice,

Im looking for a Doll thats not too small, it seems 138 is good enough for me Im only 5'6" so the doll is only 1 foot shorter than me, any shorter and it would be very strange because it would be the same height as a child.....

DollTo has the Koi 138cm DollHouse 168 doll for about 1000, this seems to be the best deal i can find

anyone else have other vendor suggestions? or other doll companies

How is the quality of Doll House 168?

I'm your height and like my 150cm doll. It's a good height and not too heavy, about 55-60 lbs. They taller the heavier and more expensive generally speaking. I have no experience with Dollto or Dollhouse168 but am sure someone else can answer any questions about them. If you don't get an answer pretty quick might give them a call.

Mmm I have been looking at Dolto as well, I found what you did, conflicting info. Personally I like the 138cm as well,. I am not a large guy and have problems with any doll over 150 pounds, and thats pushing it. I have had 3 dolls and prefer silicone. TPE is sickning.

These MFG's must realize, not everyone has the same strenght. They really need to find a better way of making tall dolls lighter. Seems they are being lazy and does not want to invest in the research.

The only developer I can think that is in tune with this problem is DS Dolls, they just cost a wee bit more. Maybe it's worth it.

Best wishes

Mannykk,

Thank you for your inquiry. http://www.dollto.com is our American website where US residents may purchase our local inventory. We do not export our US inventory. Our American location also offers additional services such as discrete packaging, secure repackaging, and storage. Made to order dolls are also available at dollto.com and they ship internationally directly from the manufacturer. Customers who would like to place an order at dollto.com can elect to have their orders shipped to our Fort Worth location where your order can be inspected, repacked, stored, and shipped to you at a later date on a case by case basis.

http://www.dolltochina.com offers a wider selection of dolls, such as the smaller dolls we do not sell on our American website. Doll To China is managed by our branch in China and they run their own promotions.

If you are based in the US and place an order at dollto.com then you will receive faster service from our American staff due to the time difference in China. However, our staff at either location are happy to assist you.

If you would like a wig that is not available under the options we can special order it for you at no additional charge.

What do you mean by sickening?....should I invest in a silicone doll instead?

There is no simple answer. Not all TPE and silicone is created equally. Each material has it's pros and cons. Manufacturers use different blends. Softness, elasticity, smell, etc. will vary.

We have large TPE and silicone samples available to US residents. Perhaps a comparison of the two materials will help you. Please send us an email if you are interested.

many people have tpe dolls without a problem myself included so im not sure what he is referring to. some people can have a reaction but that is a very very small minority and may be due to getting cheap knock off dolls or maybe not cleaning the dolls on arrival and reacting to the residue left during manufacturing. if your still concerned you can buy sample pieces to put your mind at ease.

Thank you for the info,

Are TPE dolls generally more durable? I hear they are more flexible and softer, would that mean it would survive more wear on the positions we put them in vs Silicone?

@mannykk: As a general rule, TPE dolls feel softer than Silicone Dolls, this is primarily due to the fact that most TPE dolls are TPE throughout and most silicone dolls have an inner core, usually of foam, but sometimes the core is hard plastic, this reduces weight, so the Silicone dolls feel harder!

But what material you select is impart dependent on what your primary use will be for the doll. Silicone withstands abrasions and scuffing better than TPE, but TPE because it feels softer is usually considered more preferable for intimacy, "and this is a matter of personal opinion to some extent".

TPE most often has some degree of odor when new, "depending on manufacturer" and usually is gone within a couple of days to a month. Depending on factors such as: Bathing / Showering upon arrival and powdering and even the ventilation in the room where she is kept.

Silicone usually has no noticeable odor even when new.

Also the way that you maintain them differs depending on whether you doll is TPE or Silicone. Some practices that are GREAT for at least most formulations of TPE is detrimental to Silicone and vice/versa. So it is to your advantage to take your time on deciding.

I can attest that Bud with DollTo or Kimi with DollToChina will assist you to the best of their ability! :fadein:

I have not owned a silicone doll but from my understanding the material being firmer is less prone to damage from handling but less flexible. TPE is a soft material having more elasticity than silicone. TPE is not mushy feeling like normal foam rubber though. Mine has a firm realistic feeling tummy and butt with nice squeezable breasts. Fingernails, rough clothing and zippers can scratch her. Many put a body stocking on them to facilitate dressing and prevent scratches. Repairing TPE must be done with caution because of the "glue" used where silicone can be repaired with less chance of a mistake.
