That's the date that the package is scheduled for pickup by the delivery service. How long do they get caught up at customs?

... depends whether you are doing the clearance or you asked the vendor to do it for you, anyway it SUCKS !

Per the tracking info with Fedx, they shipped on the 24th (which is nice since I ordered on the 18th) and it's scheduled to arrive on the 28th (of course, that might mean to customs). Anyone in the US have advice on what to expect from customs for a doll delivery?

I live in the western U.S. Joninin, so I can relate to you my own experience having ordered about this time last year. I’m not sure if it makes a difference among vendors, but I ordered from Beautiful Dolls. I received my doll a little over a week after I ordered her. No hassles, and I never once heard from customs. It was a painless experience for me.

In the USA we don't have customs taxes generally. It's part of our "one sided trade deal" with China. ANything we ship over there gets a massive tax applied but they can ship to us with virtually no taxation. The only thing shitty here is if Customs does halt the package sometimes they open it and repack it poorly. Just keep an eye on the tracking and don't panic if it stops in Customs.

According to Fedex, she's supposed to be delivered by the end of the day on 7/28. However, they show that she's been sitting in Japan for two and a half days, now.
